To be honest i don`t have any idea how fast this thing will go. But i think it`l be about 20mph for reasonable driving... Any pictures of the diesel Hägglund? I`m going to pull the engine out of the Subaru tomorrow...

I tried to do the math on how much force is needed for the steering ram, but i don`t have any idea if this is correct or not. If it is correct my ram will be able to turn the vehicle on dry pavement... The vehicle will be able to do all the movement this one does in the video...

Thanks man, i just had to put this in my sig. The van was my easiest project... I don`t think so, but we`ll see... I`ll mount a disc brake to the driveshaft that goes to the rear...

Thanks for your nice words. The steering method you`re talking about is called skid steer. There are a few reasons why i`m not going to use this: 1. I would have to install brakes on all four drive sprockets. This isn`t easy, because i have very limited room there. It`d also be hard to adjust...
