Well, since i saw one in person yesterday i took pictures of everything i was interested in. What i`m looking for is some information about the controls. Steering is with a steering wheel. Is it possible to lift the rear car? There`s a hydraulic ram that looks like it controls the up and down...

To be honest i don`t have any idea how fast this thing will go. But i think it`l be about 20mph for reasonable driving... Any pictures of the diesel Hägglund? I`m going to pull the engine out of the Subaru tomorrow...

Twinturbos... :wow1: I think the 54hp are more than enough... When i brought the Subaru home i was over the point of no return. So this has to happen... Placed some stuff today, this is going to be tight: This is about half of the wiring loom. That`s insane... :wow1:

Yes they are. We drank a few beers after we finished working... Built some track-assembly dummies to get an idea of the size. We can place all the parts where they`re supposed to go, so we can see easily if there`s enough room or not: The little one had to check things out: This is about...

Got the donor car today: The battery was completely dead, so we put in another one. It turned over on the first try and ran fine... We drove a few feet and started parting it out: After two hours of work:

Yes that`s right. It`s really nice to get that shop together... This time it was my dad who helped me. He is a wood tech, so he knows a lot about this stuff... Got another motivational thing for the shop:

I tried to do the math on how much force is needed for the steering ram, but i don`t have any idea if this is correct or not. If it is correct my ram will be able to turn the vehicle on dry pavement... The vehicle will be able to do all the movement this one does in the video...

Thanks man, i just had to put this in my sig. The van was my easiest project... I don`t think so, but we`ll see... I`ll mount a disc brake to the driveshaft that goes to the rear...

It uses articulated steering between both cars. The same as a wheeled loader or big dumper: You can see the hydraulic ram in the foreground... I`ll mount a engine driven hydraulic pump in conjunction with a 4/3 way valve and a hydraulic ram. It`ll be controlled by a joystick...

Thanks for your nice words. The steering method you`re talking about is called skid steer. There are a few reasons why i`m not going to use this: 1. I would have to install brakes on all four drive sprockets. This isn`t easy, because i have very limited room there. It`d also be hard to adjust...

Don`t know what was written here, but i`d like to hear your opinions, so i can improve my design... Made a prototype of the track assembly today. Everything works perfectly, exactly like i thought: The second track connection is just improvised, but it already works perfectly. I even got a...
