The photos for you
Today was a play with the Rover kind of a day, warm enough for a long sleeved shirt, and sunny enough for great photos!
A perfect fit, although I discovered that the tongue weight on the support/ leg thingy was almost too heavy for me to lift to disengage and drop onto the...
Well, It's good to revisit this thread from Spring. I've bought a 1985 M416 trailer with a solid and lockable lid. I'm using it for carrying the camping gear, tent, food and water for me and three dogs. I went out into the back woods of Colorado this summer and ran out of water pretty quickly...
Little Red
Only a week ago, we drove to Raton to meet up and buy Little Red, a 1985 ish M416 trailer with a lockable lid. It was just what I'd hoped for, size, condition.
Since then I've not had much time to take it out but I have filled it with the camping gear, trying to keep the weight...
how did it get so full already?
SO this is the Little Red I bought. I've been practicing reversing at home since i have the space. I also started filling it with the camping gear that I usually carry in the 4Runner with us. Wow, I'm amazed at the space in there and at how much I take with us...
Yep, that's what I think. Around here a 20 yr old 4Runner is $4k minimum. With the tires, suspension, etc done, its solid but for the tranny. I'll let you know what I come up with! Thanks for all your help.

I can't do manual, my knees are shot. I'm looking at the scrap yard option for sure, but I also just found this from Napa Auto who I'd trust for sure.

Yup, I'll be there! And thanks for the tips, I did a bit of both. Looking over my shoulder and hand moving slowly to correct the turns. I'll practice. But first my transmission is going out and I'm working out my options. Sigh.
Hey there team, I have a 1995 4Runner with the 3.0 engine, automatic, 4wd. It's not liking going into reverse at the start of the day, after it's sat for any more than an hour or so. Its now just started slipping as we take off in the mornings (super cold here right now), slipping in drive but...
Little Red
Little Red is new to me as of yesterday! A full days drive to pick up and return home in the snow and fog, I'm tired now. This morning at home, I started practicing backing up and gave up then tried again, finally able to get it in place. This will take practice. In the meantime, I...
Here's the little Red
Well, we drove up three and a half hours in sunshine to Raton, NM to meet up with the owners. By the time we got there the temperature had dropped and snow lay in the mountains. Leon and Peggy drove down three hours to meet us. I loved the trailer, just what I hoped for...
Im picking up a M416 from CoHunter on Sunday. Ive been going back and forth on getting a Teardrop, trailer, or a van. It's been quite a process! I've found a trailer in great condition, with a lockable lid, tires to match my 4Runner or the Landy. I've mostly been traveling NF roads and Colorado...
