Hello all,
I've been planning upon installing an OME suspension system for quite some time now, and since my TJ is an 04, and tax returns on their way, I cannot think of a better time for this kit than this coming spring. I have already decided upon the "heavy" springs, as we do load...
I just recently installed a light hoop up front. I'll be mounting 3 lights on it and 2 or 3 lights up top on the rack. What is the best combo? We've only been out at night on occasion and I'm thinking floods up front and spotters up top.. All opinions welcome. Thanks ! ;)
I finished building my trailer several years ago, and continue to modify it before and after every trip. The kitchen is in the rear of the trailer, undo the tarp, flip it forward, slide the tailgate up and off, and presto, cook stove, dry foods, utensils, etc. I'll soon be in the market for an...
Our daughter and her family were up for a visit last week and since they now own a JKU we all went for a day trip up to Bald Eagle State Forest.. Gramma rode in the JKU, and the eldest grandson with me. We did a lot of unmaintained trail running, and a bit of hiking, picnic lunch, a grand time...
I'm planning to install a 12 volt redtop on my trailer for powering a refrigerator. I'm thinking about the best way to keep it charged. Obviously a trickle charge of some kind. Are there any good write ups anywhere on how to properly wire this up? Thanks for all advise..
This oil burner is bone stock, with lots of brand new and nearly new parts::
Nearly New: Tires, front brake rotors, brake pads...
Brand New: High pressure fuel pump, fuel pressure solenoid, fuel filters, ( 1 on vehicle & 1 in box ) fuel filter head, radiator, and coolant. Dealer inspected...
I keep blowing bearings out on my trailer.. New bearings 3,000 miles ago, bearing buddies installed, and still they spin out,, I'm using a 1 ton axle with 1 1/8" spindles with 33x10 rubber,, total weight might be 350 to 400 lbs.. bought a new axle today, and will replace in the AM, then...
I almost have the " go ahead " to purchase aftermarket seats for our TJ. As always I try to do extensive research, and like to begin here on these forums. We are looking for an upgrade from the stockers, a seat that doesn't leave us feeling fatigued and washed out after a ten or twelve hour...
For years and years now I have been reading, nearly everywhere, except the "Novak" website, that using premium grade (91 and above octane) gasoline in an engine that requires only low octane gasolines, is a complete waste of money, as the MPGs don't improve, nor does performance. So I never...
I think I read somewhere that led lights cannot be used unless all the lights on the circuit are LEDs.. I want to replace my trailer lights with LEDs.. Can I do this without switching everything on my jeep to LEDs? Any advise is appreciated.. Logically, and I'm no electrician, I don't see why...
Good morning all. been quite some time since I've posted, but now I have a serious question. Since we built our excursion trailer, we no longer use the warrior expedition racks to haul anything, they make a really cool off road lighting rack, thats about it. I'm currently getting 14 to 15...
OK,, I very rarely am at a complete loss, so here goes. Since all shock absorbers in North America are made by only three companies, Monroe, Gabriel, with KYB taking up the remainder, that means that all those shocks coming from OME, ARB, Rancho, BDS, Black Diamond, Super lift, or any...
last time out we had to do a bit of winching, and being as careful as possible, still managed to finally put a kink in our steel line. I'm very definitely switching over to synthetic line. Amsteel Blue seems to be the best bang for the buck, and it does get rave reviews from some very reliable...
Finally, I repacked my bearings & installed my new bearing buddies. To my dismay, the jeep Moab rims would not fit over them. So, instead of having the center hole in the rims machined out 1/8 " , I used some 1/8 " washers as wheel spacers, for a perfect fit.. I wouldn't dream of doing this on...
HPA motorsport now has swap kits available for the YJ, and will soon have a kit available for my 04 TJ.. I am excited about this swap, and am looking forward to running an oil burner. However,,,, I don't like being a guinea pig. I've read all the info put out by HPA, and of course, it all looks...
OK heres the deal, I just need some feedback. As some of you know, we just finished our trip to Moab back in May. My wife and I will be making many more excursions like this for the rest of our healthy retirement lives. We may even retire to the 4 corners region in 2016. Nonetheless, being...
I run a stock engine, with a "rocket" intake tube. Am I going to waste my money installing a Stage 1 Jet Chip? I'm looking for better fuel mileage & some pulling power at highway speeds. Considered a turbo, for about as long as it took me to price one,,, oouch! I know miracles don't exist...
I've read all sorts of rumors that a 2.8 CRD turbo crate motor will soon be available, complete with swap parts, for installation in TJs. How much truth is there in this rumor? If it is true, I will be one of the thousands waiting in line for one.
