Oh* before I forget. I would love some opinions on tires for the new set up. I'm wavering between these 3 options" 33x10.5/15 BFG KO2's 255/85/16 BFG KM3's 7.5R16 BFG KM3's I would love to stick with the KO2 but unfortunately it doesn't come in the second two sizes. Ideally I'm in the...

Both, I never really thought about it before but they kind of go hand in hand. Nice, hope it was a good ride out. That sounds like a great trip. Nothing like fresh fish & game meals while camping. I can only imagine how awesome that was listening to the elk in the evening. They are such unique...

Shoot I'll be in the bush for those days returning late on the 6th. Safe travels. Knocked off a few more quick things tonight. 8.8 now has lines. The rear has always sat level or sagged just a bit when were fully loaded for a trip. I've had some 2" lift shackles on the bench for a minute and...

First I needed to correct a mistake... I had to chop this mount off, clean it up and reweld it. I messed up the angle by almost 8*. Got a head of myself and fully welded it out before double checking it. What a pain. Lesson learned, tack, check, check again and then burn it in. It turned alright...

Picked up the heads from the machine shop. First place completely messed up cutting the seats and grinding the valves. The leak down was brutal, so glad I tested it. They are mint now. Feels good to make some forward progress on this. Need to get the pushrods measured and order some, that's...

^The 201 is a nice drive for a stock vehicle. It'll take you from Penticton to Joe rich along the east side of the lake. Couple of nice hikes up in that area as well. Another good one is Christie falls up bear main, nice drive and a short hike into the waterfall. Let me know when you'll be in...

I decided to build my own Pop Top camper

Awesome photos. The truck looks great with that wheel/tire combo. I had a similar issue with condensation. I wrapped all of my exposed frame in closed cell foam and it help tremendously.

Awesome^ that's funny about the blackberry. The provincial campsite is actually really not bad along the river. It's not our "dream" camping spot but it's a decent launching point for all of the sights nearyby. It's been a pretty productive two weeks. Picked up a beefy IRO double shear track...

^ that's funny. Typically bugs in southern BC aren't terrible. We get fairly dry hot summers which usually burns them off quickly. If they are bad we either hit the water or hide in the camper. We did a quick canoe trip up Clearwater lake last weekend. A good buddy of ours and his girlfriend...

Went for a quick drive into the hills Couldn't help but notice this puddle full of tadpoles. This was up around 1650m elevation. These poor guys were going to be dried out if they didn't get some rain soon. We hiked up to mirror lake. This was either alpine or sub-alpine, been meaning to...

Thanks, can't really complain about much over here. Nice! That must have been an awesome trip. Bella Coola is on our list for the future. Wow nice. I would love to do that trip. We haven't been overseas for 3 years now. Thanks, living the dream sporadically. Life seems to be a bit to heavily...

Apparently they make a cv boot treatment spray to prolong the life but I rather just replace them and ********** about it haha. I hear you on the radius arm set up. If I was building something for do any serious offroading/articulation I would go with a 3 link. This is just the easy road. The axle...

New beer day happens on every day that ends in "y"! Back at it, Cv replaced w/ difficulties. Helped a buddy fix his pathfinder, towed here with a no start condition. Muffler rotted out and then puked hot air on the rear harness. Melted down the rear harness into a nice blob and popped the...

New tools thursday. Pretty well everything I need to set up the diffs aside from a press. Transfer punches sure are a nice tool to have. Just like that 5x4.5 to 5x4.75 bolt pattern on the 8.8 axles, only need the final drill size now. One more big piece of the puzzle for the solid axle...

^^^ LOL I would love to know when it happened because I didn't notice it in the ride at all. Started on the repairs, started on the pinion seal and quickly spiralled. Driveshaft had a tiny amount of slop, pulled it out and the rear u-joint felt a bit crusty. Oh yup, that'll do it... The...

Thanks, super stoked on how simple and nice they came out. All four chained up is like a tank and a lot of fun in the snow until it's not, then you're really stuck. I'll give the wife credit for my motivation. We had talked about building a camper for a solid year and finally she kicked me in...
