Ozarker, I have owned a C Class. Dont want another one. Kids are almost grown, so we dont need the space and I cant take it anywhere I want to go. I have to plan trips around where to take it rather than where I want to go. I have owned a pop up trailer. No thanks again, too much work. I...

Whiskey, my plan for a rack is to use towers that are yakima compatible and removable. Yakima because I have multiple sets of bars and alot of accessories already and removeable because I want to be able to fit it in the garage and want to take it off to reduce wind drag for trips I dont need...

Ok, more great input to process. Need to talk to the wife about the sink again. Hilldweller, I seem to find nothing but washboard roads out here, so the torsion axle does not appear to be a viable option. LG build questios aside, that is reason enough to look at alternatives.

Nathan, Their bouncy nature combined with the heat build up (and possible results- failure) are what have me looking at traditional leaf/ shock combo suspensions. I LOVE the SC Teardrops- what an equisite product, the Airstream of offroad trailers. But I cannot cost justify it. So here is...

Did not get to look at the Lil Buddy this weekend as the family member showing it had a scheduling conflict. We went to the local LG dealer instead. Wife likes the idea of a teardrop (yeah!). We quickly zeroed in on the Rough Rider. My main concern with it is that it has a torsion axle...

Those Travel Inns sure are purdy! I like the Backpacker as well. Brief internet research (I know dangerous) popped up a few negative reviews though. RangerDanger, I like your KISS approach. Thanks for your service and I wish you well stateside with the potential new business.

NetDep, you are the guy I want to talk to. That is a really nice looking rig and we have very similar tastes and uses in mind. The Little Guy thread Hilldweller started scared the ^%&* out of me, so I struck LG from my potential list pretty fast. Your experience suggests that I should...

Great insight, keep it coming! I do not have the skills nor the time to build one unfortunately. So I guess I will need to raise the bar on price a bit or lower it on quality. Anyone have any experience with Lil Buddy trailers? I have a family member who has recently passed away and the...

Just starting to research trailers. As my wife and I approach the empty nest days, we look to travel more. She does not sleep in a tent willingly and does not do any offroading beyond maybe a difficult forest service road. We plan to camp remotely for a couple days at a time them get a motel...

Government Shut Down and a Trip through Utah's Canyon Country

My boys are now teenagers, have traveled alot in country and out of country. All 3 will tell you that the best trips they have taken, and continue to take, are of this kind. They still like to go ... well, as long as there is some shooting involved somewhere along the way.

Bought a new to me 2012 Jeep Rubicon, came with a Teraflex budget boost/ spacer lift. I just bought a full spring Teraflex lift which I am in the process of installing. I will leave on the "common" TF parts, only installing the new TF parts that are unique to the full spring lift. So, here...

how did we ever live without our 12 volt freezer?

An alternate view from the non-freezer/ fridge owners. I own Yetis, 2 to be exact. We take, typically two long range trips annually, meaning food and ice are bougth at home and must last often for up to a week. I buy a 10lb block of ice for the big one, use cubes and a couple frozen water...
