Very cool! My brother in law has an LX470 and loves it. The previous owner did most of the build up on it and tried to make the AHC work as the lift for a while but the weight of bumpers etc made it keep dropping out of the high setting so Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters tore out all the AHC stuff...
The point is none of that has been relevant to the topic of the thread. The thread is for comparing the different products not for debating how someone on the internet made you cry, regardless of how thoughtfully you word your reason for being upset.
Ben at ComeUp contacted me a couple weeks back and asked if I'd write a review of their winch I'm using on my cruiser to post to their blog and include a brief writeup of my cruiser. Ben posted it yesterday to the ComeUp blog in case anyone is interested. Review Spoiler: I've been really happy...

maybe not what you'd expect from this thread since it doesn't involve water, but many forget one of the better uses of a snorkel is to help with dust. I know that's the primary reason I have one.
Drop the interweb flexing attitude and let's just keep the topic "on topic". If you don't like the attitude from Maxtrax (or anyone else), fine, ignore it and don't buy their product.
I won't tell anyone how they should spend their money so whether or not you choose one company's product is your choice for whatever your reasons might be. "Professional" behavior is a bit subjective. I can understand how some of the comments being complained about could be interpreted as...
I agree. Maybe I also missed the "offensive" comments but from the ones here I didn't see any posts that were not useful information. Recovery gear is not gear you want to have fail when you need it. I've seen several failures of other brand of traction boards, but not one that I can recall...
For others reading this thread for research purposes, the standard Tepui models (such as the Gran Sabana mentioned here) use 260g poly/cotton ripstop material. If you need a higher level of durability for extreme conditions I suggest looking at the Tepui Ruggedized models with several upgrades...
If the goal is to spend less time putting the cover on, from experience the Eezi-awn isn't going to save you any time over a zippered cover. There are some cool things about the design of the Eezi-Awn cover for sure, but it's a bit of a "grass is always greener" thought process IMO. Each type...
I prefer to support well made products regardless of origin. :) I'm as big a fan of US products as the next guy but there's some excellent non-US stuff out there and you're short-changing yourself if you don't at least check out your options IMO.
Bump for any additional interest in the Gran Sabana Ruggedized model. Is this on anyone else's radar for future purchase? Tepui is evaluating interest so they can decide whether or not to include this in the next order from the factory.
Thanks. I'll add you to the list and will update information here as the decisions are made regarding the timing of the order and details like color options etc.
Thanks. The annex is included with purchase of all Gran Sabana models. The Ruggedized version uses the same 320g ripstop poly cotton on the annex that is used on the main tent.

Color availability is undecided at this point. It will depend on interest.
