wow now that's cool and over and above. Thanks Alan
Edit: I appreciated ATW for being transparent letting us know that Quaife manufactures theirs. Who manufactures the parts and builds yours? Thank you.
At what pressure? Filling tires to 40 psi is different than 90 psi. Look for something all metal (I could be wrong but I think there is plastic parts in the ARB), and continuous duty. I have an extream air magnum and am very happy. But if size and price don't matter try here...
I thought part 2 of this video was interesting as it talks about automatic braking differentials to distribute torque. Basically they apply the brake at the slipping wheel thus increasing the 'load' at this wheel and the result is increased torque to the other non slipping wheel. This is...
I did ask him. He responded that his was a Torsen "style" but not made by Torsen. I do not believe Torsen has a spring. Allan made no mention of a spring in his system, and has yet to answer my question regarding the manufacturer. I am curious for several reasons, just one of which is that...
I could not agree more. My original question was to see if there were any functional differences in how they operated. The answer to that appears to be no. Likely the 2 manufactures have a somewhat different approach i expect. I am familiar with quaife as a manufacturer. Anyone want to...
.
Agreed, I think their solutions are indeed the best (and only) ones out there. I was just curious of the differences between them. In my research I became confused with the need to brake. I like to know how things work. It makes more sense now. And to back up the braking and lack of...
Ok, so as I ever so slowly get smarter, it appears that both the Quaife and the Torsen LSD's are best suited for on road use. They do not bias enough of the torque to deal with one wheel off the ground or spinning freely to be effective. Hence the concept of having to apply the brakes to get...
I love it when I have new stuff to learn. I did not think ATB AND THE TORSEN systems were the same. Not sure about this idea of tapping the brakes. I never had to do that on my ATB quaife and according to the video it is not required on the TORSEN. Much to learn apparently.
Well that was the plan. We will see after shipping costs, as the tank is reasonably big. I like the idea of expo folks hooking-up other expo folks with stuff they might need, as opposed to the idea getting the most money possible.
Yup sorry. I have several people interested in shipping costs before wanting it. I have one I'll take I but no shipping info. (yet). And my inbox was full. Quite a cluster. I will go to ups wed to get shipping info.
The light on my 2004 and I have an interesting relationship. Sometimes he visits for a while, sometimes he does not. Usually either on or off at start up. Usually when it comes on it stays on until I restart. There have been times when it does not come on for weeks. There has been times...
Take off from my fuso. May have other applications. Rs 999008. RS 999115. Less than 5000 miles. Work great. Missing one red bushing. How about $125 and shipping for all 4 .
