For any direct injection engine it's just something I would personally install. Have personally had issues with them and there are plenty of horror stories out there. They are known for gumming up the intake valves and then having developing issues from there. There are a few ways around it...

Thankya! I won't run a prefilter up top, however, the company that made it recently released something similar. A little mesh filter/water trap that fits towards the bottom of the snorkel before the airbox that I will end up getting over the winter.

I know all the other modifications and upgrades have been a major boon, but my favorite is still the reversion to normal tail lights.
