False... neither factory designed nor warrantied. They were all build/designed by Magnusson and warrantied *ONLY* if installed by a dealer.
And many... many of said engines had major issues, especially in the 3.4, due to fueling problems. And note also, Toyota stopped offering them years ago...
based on? Never towed with an F150, but towed plenty with Tundras in the 6500-7500 range. Not sure I'd want to tow more than that with a Tundra, regardless of ratings.
could you elaborate? I'm curious. There are certainly some areas where the Tundra has "bigger" components, but I think that goes both directions. It's an interesting comment that you made, so it could b
What do you mean Toyota offers an old school transfer case?? Nothing old school about it. It’s as much electric as any other mfg.
I’m starting to wonder where you get your data. Lol
Same shock mounting that Toyota has used since the 2ng gen taco.
“Worse” offroad? Meh. The ZR2 has more offroad thought out into it than the Trd pro sticker package. At least the zr2 can be had with some real truck tires.

I think part of this is also due to the emissions on new diesels. When DEF was introduced, it seems like the prices of the 7.3's, 5.9's and the like went up substantially. Even the 6.0 fords got a huge bump. I paid $24k for my 2000 7.3 CCSB in 2001... 2001... Between monetary devaluation...
I’ve always found these custom cabs fascinating...
Are you using the Rancho/Downey kit with the rancho upper arms and u-joint based front shafts? Brings back tons of memories!
Looking forward to this build.
EDIT: never mind. For some reason the pick of the LT didn’t pop up earlier.
Remember, that 1/2 ton Tundra, according to a number of folks on this site, is built stronger/better than most 3/4 trucks... so if I take their "truths" into account, it's probably like for like. :p
So bottom line...
you're right, everyone else is wrong. That's fine... it's a perspective... But are you right? Or are you correct? They are not always the same.
