So, I just picked up a 2004 Sport Trac. Pretty neat little vehicle, but not a ton of aftermarket support, though it does share a lot of components with a similar-gen Ranger.
In any case, Warn makes the Trans4mer for up to the 2003 Ranger. It looks like that bumper will fit the 2004 and on...
So, we've been camping with our little girl since she was two months old...but until recently, our forays were limited to improved campgrounds in state and national parks.
This fall, now that she was two, we decided it was time to try our hand at unimproved camping and for our inaugural...
I am selling a brand new set of 185/65-14 Bridestone Blizzak WS-60 tires and wheels mounted and balanced. These tires have 0 miles and were just bought, mounted and balanced at Discount Tire. I have had an excellent experience with Blizzaks in the winter (5 sets on three different cars) and I am...
My suggestion is class III. I don't even know of any hitch carriers that will work out-of-the-bl with the smaller 1-1/4" receiver of a class II hitch. Good luck on your trip.
If you don't already have a hitch, here's a class III for $130. http://www.hitchweb.com/product/88/13147/Class-3-Hitch-Subaru-Forester
I've purchased from this website and installed Curt hitches before, so I can recommend both. And, the hitch should install easily with hand tools in under an...
I think your bigger issue will be the torque on the hitch itself imposed by the bouncing of the carrier over the rougher terrain. I worked for a shop installing hitches for a bit and we'd see bent hitches on Subis caused by bike carriers and such when the vehicle had been bouncing around forest...
So, I am not sure if it's a G-wagon, specifically, but I do know it's an MB. Spotted in Arches National Park the first weekend of February. German plates. I didn't get a chance to speak with the couple that was driving it, but it did look comfy.
I've had great luck with this:

I did all of my wife and I's old VHS and Beta tapes. If it doesn't handle .mov specifically, Handbrake does a great, and free, job on conversions after you import the video.
What about this: Thule 422XT Xsporter™ Multi-Height Aluminum Truck Rack
A little spendy, but it would easily hold your kayaks...and any other toys (i.e. skis, bikes, etc.). Might not hold the rooftop tent in the raised position, but might manage it in the lowered position. And I believe...
There is a socket is reverse threaded and fits over the anti-theft nut. Get it to bite (by pounding it on to the offending lug nut), start cranking it counter-clockwise and it will back the ant-theft nut out as it tightens down. They should be sold at most auto parts stores.
Here's an example...
Great luck with them for four sets of snow tires and wheels for a variety of vehicles. The balance was off on one set but they quickly refunded the cost to get them balanced locally, which was nice.
