I would like at this point to say I did a quick dynamic risk assesment and chose the right course of action.
However, i cant .
By the time I had shouted ****** it was over.
2 seconds maximum.
I was lucky.

Looks fantastic.
One small observation that I am sure you have already spotted.
If the link between the over cab pod and the cabin is flexible, it needs to have a huge amount of movement. Maybe half a meter or even more.
I am always amazed how much the top of my truck moves in each direction...
Agreed totally. We have Seitz windows and their bug sceens only stop butterlies. Anything smallercthan this sail past. We have now developed an overlay screen on each window which has has been 100% effective. I am not sure this could be applied to a large opening so it would leave you...
Slowly lifting one side until it tips is completely different to one side of your trick falling away quickly. The sudden momentum has a massive effect.

We got it out of the ditch with 2 large Diggers that simply pulled it out by the chassis with brut force.. Most of the damage was caused during this stage .
I will be...
Sometimes its a combination of several things. Our disater was down to appalling road conditions and my position on the road.
We examined the tracks the next day and I estimated that I was one tyre width too far over thats 385mm. Just mis judged it I guess.
But on a dry day it wouldnt have...
Poor guy, I know how he feels having capsized our truck in Chile earlier this year. I have the T shirt

We looked at this many times during our design stage. ( 8years ago )
Firstly we love them but it just didnt lend itself to our other aspects such as a U shaped seating area..
Two things to remeber are that the internal mechanisms pretty much dominate the inside of the wall making it hard to...
Not sure this will help as mine (1017) is simply hydraulic without air , but when i did my master cylinder i had a nightmare bleeding it but eventually it got it useable but like yours was high. Over time i think a few small air bubles left in the system must have made their way back to the...
Picking up on Jons post.
We have a washing machine and its probanly the best bit of kit we installed. It uses hardly any power and makes life so much easier.
Secondly we are currently in a warm climate area 35 plus most days.
Our grey tank only takes grey and not black combined. In this heat...
I saw it about 6 years ago at Willys'Treffen in germany.
It was still owned by The Dutch Man Arno as in the nomadic one link.
Arno became one of the founder members of. http://www.expedition-trucks.com/index.html
I dont know if he still has it.

I am in Brazil. In the day its sometimes near 40 in the truck with high humidity.
I am therefore watching this thread very closely so please publish your findings
Thanks

If anyone is going to the show this year 2018 and is looking for a group to park with you will be very welcome at my club. "The overlander"
Very nice bunch. You will see them they will be the largest collection of big truck campers.
Ask for Brian or Phil . Ssy Neil sent you and they will be...
Our grey tank is outside between the chassis rails. Like Joe if its cold enough to freeze we just leave the tap open an either let it drain onto the floor or into a bucket depending where we are.
Been below minus 20 no problems.

We have the beads . Never had a wobble or vibration.
Funily even when you have a couple of kilos of mud on the tyres and rims, i have also never had a wobble or vibration.
I guess it must be working

This has nothing to do with Mercedes Benz so oppologies for that.
We have met this couple in South America travelling in a 6wd Mowag 2.which is a very capable vehicle.
Anyway they also make superb videos of their journey , probably the best amateur films I have seen.
I think our regular group...
The timing will be right. At about the time you finish your project we will be at about the point were will be looking to leave South America and head north.
