I guess you could find slippery carpet if you looked hard enough but mostly not. Dogs use their claws to climb and carpet gives them something to dig into, especially looped carpet like berber.

Yeah, I think carpet would work better that textured paint. The idea of increasing the slope gradually is a good one too. You can buy indoor/outdoor carpet at Lowe’s or Home Depot by the foot then tack and or glue it down.

I also would like to build a camper trailer but am solidly decided on the tub style. Besides the fact my skill is limited precluding complex drawer systems, I would like to be able to take the tent off and use it as a utility trailer on occasion. I live in a city so I don’t have a lot of space...
