good theory as to how it missed the mark.

But the Gren is not a "first edition". In fact, USA gets the '24MY vs the '23MY supplied to all previous markets. And you can order one today.

    INEOS Grenadier

That MPG is about what I achieved driving my '96 Discovery over 16 years. It's pretty much a non-issue. A modern diesel on the other hand, no way I would touch one.

Agreed, I can handle the mechanical portion, plus the 5yr/60k warranty and current B58 knowledge/aftermarket should get me to a point I'm comfortable with non-dealer solutions. I'm going all in on this one.

After 8 years in a full size, moving back to a mid-size - Recommendations?

I have a hard time believing you will enjoy towing with any of those vehicles, especially given your tow-vehicle history. Enjoy the new phase of your life! That's awesome.

120 Volt Outlets Confirmed! And 2.0 Kw

I would like to see more info on this. To date there are specific factory spring selections based on final vehicle specification, but not market-specific spring selections. Spring rate source click here.

Yeah, I get it. for comparison I'd have 1.5-2 hour drive each way. Warranty issues in the UK, Germany and Oz have been mostly annoying blips and nothing major. A software update was released this week, which could be needed fixes or signaling the prep for NA builds.

When we purchased a ‘96 Discovery the LR dealer network was not that extensive. We had to drive to Philly area dealers from rural NJ. No biggie - I handled routine maintenance myself, scheduled warranty related dealer visits and enjoyed that vehicle for 16-years of daily service & extended...

    Traction Board Recommendations

I can’t provide a link, but my local 4wd shop sold them for sub-$300. This casual conversation developed while they tried to find a slow leak (tire) I was also unable to locate. He mentioned the sale price and I said two sets please (no black available so I got one set steel gray and one set tan).

good theory as to how it missed the mark.

Apparently INEOS raised the GVM to 3550 for Australia, and it requires bigger/brighter Cat 6 side indicators. So all Australian vehicles will have standard indicators removed and replaced before they can be registered.

good theory as to how it missed the mark.

I didn’t bother with the video since it doesn’t affect me personally. There has been chatter from Australia they they may be able to get a GVWR increase certified.

10L "Jerry can", 11L Dometic "Go Hydration" or Rotopax for water?

Search McMaster-Carr they have a virtually unlimited selection. You’ll likely have to choose food grade over potable.

    Stronger tarp than Kelty Noah?

Heavier is double-edged, as it requires more tension to set-up and to fight wind. I'm still using my "red" Noah tarp, which has become our fave beach shelter, and no signs of failure...

10L "Jerry can", 11L Dometic "Go Hydration" or Rotopax for water?

I just did the same! I look forward to testing it out, and eventually replacing my 20L British MoD water jugs.

Thread for those that have their money down.

I drove a prototype in April. It had a floaty solid axle feel that immediately reminded me of my '96 D1. Vehicle size, build quality, space, layout and factory features (under full factory warranty) all checked their boxes. I was sold instantly.

Risks of buying a new Grenadier

Petrol consumption reports from the EU and Oz have been higher, and I personally think it's par for the course. It is not built like a lightweight, subject to a large manufacturer's CAFE standard goals, or victim of cross-platform feature-numbing cost-sharing. For that last point I will gladly...
