Thanks Dave! I've been a lurker for at least a couple years, so I'm not really a newb at all! I know these trucks out and in, been helpin my buddies but them for years!
Your truck was an inspiration for ride height for me man! I really love your set up!
I'm plannin on takin my truck to either...
Man the engine, after a carb head was put on first by the machine shop, a knock sensor fiasco, and finally just putting a new 053 Ignition module in it, she runs like a dream! Pulls good, but as I've said before, it's still a 4cylinder in that size of a vehicle! :snorkel:
I was very happy when...
So last week I decided I was very tired of having maybe 2 inches of up travel in my rear leafs...
I got in touch with "kratter" on eBay, very nice guy, and ordered 2, 14" tall 150psi coils! While doing some research, I didn't see many guys using the 150lb springs, but I decided since I have a...
(Copied my thread over from YT because it's pretty expeditionary too)
This has been a long ongoing project, and I just now have decided I have done enough work on my truck to start a build thread on it, and I will update it as I go, so here it goes! :drink:
In June of 2009, I got tired of my...
Even down to being debadged on the front grill! That's sweet!

Figured this thread needed a bump!
This is my '87 Runner before the snow hit during hunting season in North Idaho! Got 31's and mounted my rack on top, it will be permanently mounted to the top soon. Doing the Zuk mod withing a couple of weeks, and when funds permit, rear Aussie locker, bumpers...
I figured the sheet metal wouldn't hold much...
But with proper back bracing, I think it should hold quite a bit. You can see the pictures of the white one, and it looks like it is holding quite a bit.
Haven't posted my Runner yet...
Here she is in all her glory :)
223xxx on the clock...
That was my point in making a rack mount to the side of the truck, I don't trust the fiberglass that much, plus you could still have a rack with no top.

I know this is an old thread... And I'm a noob to this site.
However, I'm not a noob to my 87 Runner than I'm in the process of building into overland travel (funding permitted:sombrero: )
I was looking at this rack, and I'm super interested in it, anybody have any specs, links to the build...
