Nope, it was the real deal.I had wrecked a car in the desert the year before so I thought the pain in my back was a damaged disc. After I passed out from the pain a couple of times, my wife took me to emergency. LADA was 99% clogged. Stint goes in. I was a cyclist most of my life and they think...
Good question.
I still have a lot to do.
Starting on the water system. Was just measuring for the water tank.
I am coming up with 26 gallons. Wanted 30.
Made a couple of changes to the kitchen.
Have to figure out how to run the water heater and FAU on 11" WC and then a Partner Stove on 20 psi...
So true my friend! When the Queens happy, the Kingdom is happy!
We took the FWC up to Funnel Lake in the Sierras last year with some friends and she was hooked.
The FWC Eagle is just a little too small for her liking and I don't have any hot water.
Jeff
Thanks for the great idea. I am a little cautious about an open flame inside the trailer and the possible carbon monoxide they produce.
Actually, and I hate to admit it, there will be a 1000 watt inverter with an outlet inside, so if it becomes a big deal, we can bring a (gasp!) electric coffee...
Thank you for your compliment(s).
Next I will do the back splash. Should add to the looks. Lights and switches later this week and then on the the plumbing.
As far as the wrap goes, I am thinking either a black, grey, silver and white camo or a silver wrap to match the truck.
Thanks.
Jeff
What did you use when you built your cabinets? FYI, just the panels of the doors are diamond plate. And I can change them anytime if I find something else I like.
I don't know how it is going to look because the latches I use are more of a brass color.
There is no acces from the sleeping area to...
Being a commercial general contractor, I am used to things being a little more exact and almost perfect.
These trailers are assembled in haste and not very square and true.
The fit is just not what I thought it would be. But I am not a millworker either.
Weight was more of a consideration.
Jeff
I agree with your comment about the importance of good brakes. It was the first thing I changed out when I started my current build. What I was thinking was making a controller that we could brake the wheels separately. Sort of like how we used to put steering brakes on dune buggys and baja...

I really like it compared to my Camping Labs on my FWC.
I just need to build a deflector to keep trail branches from damaging it.
Jeff
Congrats from a fellow silver Tacoma owner. I love your truck because of the custom fab work you do.
Bolting on stuff just doesn't impress me any more.
You really deserve the recognition.
Jeff
Well......The back wall is in. I am building the rear Kitchen upper cabinets.
Kitchen should be done next week then it's off to the interior.
Added a RV style 8' X 8' awning. I love it.
Trailer is inside my shop so pics don't always come out well.
Jeff
You are right on the money. I have right about the same clearance. I cycled the suspension one one side to full compression and still had a 1/2".
We will see in the long run if this is enough. We can always increase the thickness of our adaptors. My reason was to try and keep the trailer as...
Fix it kit.
Funny you should ask. I just received the fix it kit from Kilby.
Includes brass drive pin and a locking screw.
My roll pin is jus barely sticking out, I have no play between the two large blocks.
But I only have about 30 miles or so and none off road.
Jeff
I have the new "Max Coupler" on my trailer. I have been pulling it around last couple of days and it is amazing how there is no play what so ever.
Very happy so far.
Jeff
Tell me what you think.
When I purchased my trailer used, there were a ton of vinyl stickers all over the trailer. That is what the guy did, he was a mobil sticker and T shirt service. The removal of all the stickers did not go well and damaged the white paint coating. So I am thinking of doing a...
Same here for Redneck.
The statement asking if your wheels are hub centric means you will have to run a spacer/adaptor.
The drums that come on trailer axels are not hub centric.
