The Maze at Canyonlands: Pilgrimage to the Doll House

We have always gone there from the East side. On our last trip we sent off the cremains of 2 friends off. With the canyon wind I'm not sure how many ashes made it over the side and how much we inhaled and how much came back to camp with us on our clothes. It's where they wanted to be so we did it.

    My Journey

I've been putting it off For months but I have had people on my rear end riding it to get more out of me. It's hard to go over some old thoughts. A woman wants to illustrate it an publish it. Sorry, I prefer to just remember running around with my Lab friend in fields and forests. A few people...

    My Journey

Fine, make me cry. A few months ago I wrote up a few of my dog stories for a friend that was in the hospital for a knee replacement. It brought up a lot of memories. Her sister and her dog came by for shrimp last night and we wandered over to my neighbors. Great, 4 dogs to scratch. Dogs like...

The Maze at Canyonlands: Pilgrimage to the Doll House

Yep, Photobucket is trying to extort $400.00 a year to host photos. We will see how long they last.

    FG's in Action

It played fine for me. I'm so happy my old 1992 MF has a 5 speed in it. I rarely go to low range unless I am backing in a trailer through the trees.

OK4WD Daily Driver / Overland Rubicon

I knew there is a reason I haven't posted a photo for years and I gave up on Photobucket years ago. It is sad that the hackers got in and corrupted many sites so you can't post a photo directly to a page anymore. Whatever, I'm having fun with my email right now. I know how to go sort of sideways...

Anyone running an aftermarket TPMS? (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)

You are getting close the range I spent for my entire MF camper. I think I can avoid those prices and still enjoy mine.

Crossing the Darien Gap on a Corvair (no Land Rovers or Unimog need apply)

Yeah, a '60 or '61 Chevy Truck. I one of the last pictures they show a 1962 plate on the front of a Corvair. I believe I've seen another film where they found an abandoned Corvair along the route.

M101A2 / M116A2 Trailer Drop Hitch Lunette For JK Jeep

Not to harp on this but I was 16 and driving my parents 1962 Suburban with a 19' travel trailer behind it. The tail started wagging the dog. Hit the electric brakes to get things back in line. It was a poorly designed trailer, If somebody was thinking they wouldn't have put 50 gallons of water...

Converting a factory JK/JKU hardtop to modular

Jsherb, I'm not too sure I would go with the lack of windows in the rear. Old motorcycle rider here so I turn on the turn signal and look over my shoulder for a vehicle in my blind spot. I can barely see anything out of the rear windows of the Koenig hard top on my 3B so I do use my mirrors a...

4 Day High Desert Trip - Ojai to Alabama Hills *Very Pic Heavy*

It sounds like you have one tough little pup. My grandmother had one but we weren't allowed to get near him as kids. She was afraid one of us kids would get bit.

Well I broke it, in Canada

OK, I was driving across Vail pass and hit a bridge joint of at about 5 inches. I called back to warn people that were heading up later. I gave them the mileage marker and they knew where to slow down. I didn't break anything and neither did they. Just what you do.

4 Day High Desert Trip - Ojai to Alabama Hills *Very Pic Heavy*

Most horses will just stand still and just watch the snake, Others will jump on them and cut them to pieces with their steel horse shoes. I was up with Ron sitting against his art studio wall in the sun drinking a couple cool ones. A snake crawled out between out feet. We waited until it was out...

60 Gallons of the Arizona Strip

Don't worry about when you post something new. I wrote up some of my old dog tales (Tails)? for a friend that was in a hospital for a knee replacement. She needed something better than the TV to occupy her time. She would read one a day even if I sent her 3 per night. They got around to friends...

    Middle of Nowhere

All of these forums started from nowhere and I suppose we are on one that started from nowhere. I will not give him any crap as I have received a lot of guff on sites having being accused of being a racist and a bigot. It did sort of surprise friends, especially the blacks and Chicanos. OK, once...

Great sand dunes np and western adventures

It depends on where you are and what road you find to explore. I used to get my '64 bug into places that my friends needed to go to 4X4 to get to. My father used to get our '62 Suburban 2WD into places that others had to go to 4X4 to get to. (We did have to get winched out once). It all depends...

    Roam About with "Big Hank"

I don't get much of a bad vibe from people out there anywhere but I am considerably larger than them and speak well. I do look like a Hells Angel member even if I sold all of my bikes years ago. We were out in the Pawnee National Grassland a few years back and Ma Nature called so we were stopped...

    My Journey

Yeah, I believe we have all been there and have felt the loss. I lost my Black Lab on a Christmas eve and my parents lost their Dachshund a week later on New Years Eve. Thinking about all of the canine companions our group has had I hope they are all in a place they can all run together to play...
