    Middle of Nowhere

Interesting, your own site, we will see where this ends up at. I have a FG, Chevy van and 2 Jeeps, no Toyotas. Carry on.

    2007 FG clutch rumble?

HMMMMM I crawled out under mine a few years ago and determined that the push rod was loose enough to possibly fall out on the clutch system. Alright, adjustment time. I couldn't get the lock nut loose... So even after several applications of good spray stuff I still couldn't get it loose. I...

300 hp turbo four cylinder for new Wrangler?

It all depends on how they designed the motor. Didn't Honda put out a transverse I6 bike? Not that it would be any good in a Jeep but you can stuff about anything in a Jeep depending on how much work you want to do. An Allison V12 in a MB Jeep? The driver would be sitting in the back seat and...

    super singles, how many spares

The only other thing that I have stated before is to tighten up the lug nuts with the tools you will need to change it yourself so you can do it.

    super singles, how many spares

Probably best to be set up for 2 spares. I know a guy that managed to pop both tires on the right side of his LC within 10 feet out in Utah. By luck, there was a guy that had 2 spares in his truck.

    A BAFFLING QUESTION

I don't have real test data but on the V6 Jeeps if you run a 2 into 1 pipe out the back, they run smoother and seem to deliver better performance. I need to tell the neighbor kid about the echo chamber bit on his Power Stroke. He pulled the muffler and welded in larger pipes, bigger turbo...

    super singles, how many spares

We run in different areas and I have had to change the LF tire 3 times out along a busy highway. Not all on the same day mind you. I lost the tread on the inside dual one night. I limped home and fought with it the next day. The POs did Baja with no spare at all so the first thing I did was to...

    A BAFFLING QUESTION

I've always thought about cutting the muffler out of mine But as far as increasing the size of the pipe, I don't know. In some exhaust systems the velocity makes them work better. If you look at the place where the turbo bolts to the exhaust manifold, (at least on mine), It is smaller than...

    Shifting problems

I reads like a linkage or engine/transmission mount issue. What do I know?

Mounting 50 gallon fuel tank ideas

You should be fine as long as you just don't drill in the upper or lower rails. Depending on what vehicle you have, there are many extra holes drilled into the frame.

    RockAuto Trouble? Need opinions!

That sort of sucks for you and is a bad sign for Timken. Back when I worked in a Jeep shop, everything on the shelf was OEM so I never had to worry about any part I replaced.

3 Years Around North America, Plus a Few More

A friend was there several years ago for the Silver City Blues event. He also enjoyed the golf he got to play with people he had never met before and perhaps a cocktail or 2 after.. He has also been a fixture at the Greeleybluesjam.com For over a decade. One of the best blues shows in the...

The Maze at Canyonlands: Pilgrimage to the Doll House

You can get a pickup into a lot of places. If you are out in a remote corner of a park, there is an outhouse. Somebody had to get it out there and somebody has to clean it and pump the poop. I'm not an expert on outhouses but some of them probably required at least a 2 ton truck to get them...

Death Valley - Pleasant Canyon Loop, Emigrant Canyon, Butte Valley, & Warm Springs

The other thing you can do is make a mist cooler under your awning to cool yourself off in the heat with a system like that. At Lake Powell, we just go sit in the lake with a cerveza.

The Maze at Canyonlands: Pilgrimage to the Doll House

Nicer report and I'm happy you know about Edward Abbey. I have wandered in that area for about the last 40 years. A friend was in a cafe in North Moab years ago and a guy walked in. "That sure looks like Edward Abbey" I suppose we will never know.

Who's going to Overland Expo West?

I have a twisted sense of humor but upon reading all of the problems the new trucks are having, I'm going to go out and give my old Mitsu a big hug.

    Tour de Canada part deux

Nice to actually hear your voice but it should be deeper. More like a Clint Eastwood voice or a Sam Elliot. A few more cigars and more whiskey but it looks like you know your way around a bottle. Perhaps some day I will meet you.
