Yes. Turns on and illuminates with ignition. Turns off when shut down. Mine came with a yellow wire as well. If you connect the yellow wire to a 12V source with a momentary switch, you can control the brightness. I think it has 4 levels..??? I'll go take a look again and see how I wired my set up.

I have the same truck and switch panel as you. My switch power is also wired to the cig line and functions as it should. I didn’t use a fuse tap though. I ran the wire into the cab and tapped into the line along with the illumination control line. Should be the same as tapping into fuse panel?...

Adding a reverse switch isn't too difficult if you don't want to switch out the whole fan. I actually just did this mod yesterday and it took less than 30 min.
