Thank you. I don't have any plans, I had an idea of what I wanted, and I just started building. I will sell it to you for $26,000 and give you a free defender....
I remember. Those guys in that jeep were special weren't they?!! We should get together some time for some back country adventure, or ohv fun. The guy that was with me was my only wheeling buddy, and he moved to midland.
For sale is a 1994 Defender 90. The truck has 115,000 miles. I have had it about 2 years, and am moving on to something bigger (110). I have done lots of upgrades and maintenance. The truck is set up for overland travel, being that it is very off road capable, but you can also drive it 75...
got a set of 2" lift yj springs for next to nothing, and they are way better. they are a bit to tall, but they have overloads on them, and I am going to take them off, and put my original shackles back on. i think that will make it perfect. i am also going to do shocks for sure. the trailer...
We made it home. I have to say after all the build up and planning, it was maybe the best trip I have ever been on. My kids loved camping, the weather was perfect, the mountains were as beautiful as I have ever seen them, and the defender did great. The national rally was a blast, then we...
Got a question... we are on the road on our first family trip, and I am having a small issue. The springs that I installed on my trailer are off a YJ jeep, and with my trailer loaded they sag so much that my fenders are too close to the tires. Will rearching them fix it? Should a add a leaf...
Well.........
We are at the end of our first day of travel, and we are in a hotel in Amarillo. We didn't get off to a great start. The wife and both kids have been absolutely perfect. However, my alternator is not cooperating at all. We got about 150 miles from home this morning, and my...
We are closing in on go time. We have moved up our departure to Monday the 1st. We are planning on leaving around 12:30, after lunch, right at nap time. Both the kids usually take a 2-4 hour nap after lunch. We are going to see where we end up. Leaving a day early gives us that much extra...
Here are a few things I've been working on. Got the gas struts installed, the latches for the lid installed, got started on the slide out kitchen (lots of work left to finish the cabinet and the slide out), and got the jack installed.
Not sure on the dry weight yet. I think it will be under 1000 though. I have a truck scale here at my shop, so I will weigh it as soon as it is finished. Martyn at Adventure Trailers sourced the hub adapters for me. They came out of California. They were $275, and I think they are very well...
I have a question.... I am wanting to put a deep cycle battery in the trailer to run small things (coffee pot, small water pump, etc.). I don't know anything about setting that up properly. I want the tow vehicle to charge the batteries, and I want to have 2 plugs, and 2 cigarette lighter...
