    GMT800 People - Opinions wanted on upgrades/mods

There is no off the shelf full length racks, I use mine at Home Depot as much as I do camping. Having the light bar back from the windsheild and tight to the roof is nice and there is no glare on the hood or in the windshield.

look at the back bone roof rack system off of a FJ, the roof is curved so the mounts also have to be curved. That was the idea I based my design off of. The steel was cut by a computerized plasma cutter and then bent. It is in two pieces per side. Its a pain in the ass but replace the nutserts...

    GMT800 People - Opinions wanted on upgrades/mods

I don't want the extra weight of a rear swing out bumper and a extra fuel tank. Aluminum bumpers are big bucks!! I feel like you would have to go ta a coil over in the rear to get the correct spring weight's or load. That's a lot of engineering to carry the extra weight. With a RRT, water and...

I am running a Rhino rack that is 7' X 4.5' on custom brackets that bolt into the factory holes in the roof, I love the flat rack. The Cognito leveling kits work really nice for a 285 tire.

I had tires that were getting worn down and the bad unit bearing, I thought the steering was going out, I replaced the tires with new General Grabber X3's and new unit bearings and now it drives like it should. I am going to put new A-arm bushings in at some time, It's only at 157,000 miles on them.

    10 bolt or 14 bolt

The 14 bolt out of the supercharged escalade dose not come with 4.10 gears, you will have to change them. That is a small price to pay to get a bolt in 14 bolt with 6 lug.

Suburban/Tahoe owners what size tire do you run?

I run a 285/70 R17 on my 04 Z71 with a 3/4 spacer lift in the rear and a 2.5 cognito leveling kit in the front, it rubs in the rear at full compression just a little bit,but its worth it.
