It looks very well thought out and built. I am unfamiliar with russian plywood is it considered superior to marine or other specialty types? I hope you do another video about how it was constructed
I think 3x2 with the 3 vertical is better and for that matter 3x1.5 is better yet. If the tubing is welded to the metal bed than there is very little horizontal stress. .095 is probably ok but I would go ,120 If you want to gusset to spread the load around the spring mounts than thats great...
You have been camping for 35 years in national forests and you can't figure out how to move a picnic table or work around its location? I find that lack or resourcefulness from someone with so much experience shocking. I would think if you are somewhat disabled you would be a lot more aware...
Old timers used to splash some water on the road and drive through it and lower the air pressure until the contact patch matched the tire tread width. This for street driving. There are many variations such as some sort of marker on the tire, etc.

I would consider where the vehicle spends most of its life and the environment it lives in. If stored inside in a climate where rust and humidity is not an issue than a cheaper winch will probably be fine. The more it gets away from an ideal environment to large temp fluctuations, salt...
Weld forged made in the USA. I am not going to be stupid enough to say that they are the best but I would take a long look at them. They have had a reputation to top of the line wheels for many decades
