2021 RAM 3500 Tradesman | AEV Prospector | FWC Grandby

Sorry I missed this, safe travels to Daytona! I'll be camping near York river in a few weeks with my 5-year-old and his cousin.

That step looks ready-made for your camper! Nice find!

    Removing odor after cleaning knife

It might be worth sending it in to Swiss army (Victorinox or Wenger?). I've had my Victorinox serviced before because the scissors weren't cutting right, and everything came back like a new, freshly sharpened knife afterwards. I think it only cost shipping, or maybe a small fee, I can't...

I like most of the bags you've made, but that one seems like a miss to me....

I was a long time subscriber of JP, but have never heard of Jrations!

Thoughts on 2023 Ford Super Duty for Family Travel?

Finding your own firewood is a crapshoot in most camping areas around me in Virginia. There's so few good places to camp, that they're always picked clean, down to the small kindling branches. I'm assuming it's similar everywhere on the east coast, where the population density is much greater.

How does one "upgrade" their windshield on an f150? Mine has half a dozen small chips, but I think the soundproofing option in the King Ranch makes it harder to crack. Good info to know though I'd one of those chips finally goes!

What's your pinion seal replacement method? Do you count the threads, remove, and replace to the same place? Or, do you do something different? I'm getting ready to replace the seal in my Jeep's Dana 30 and dana 44, and would love any advice. Great work as usual by the way!

1/2 Ton vs 3/4 Ton for Family Adventures?

I do the exact same thing, and it regularly drives my wife nuts. Then every now and then, I'll back into one of those "close" spots, where you have to duck under the tow mirrors to get past, just to make a point. Dont even have to say anything; she understands for a little while longer after that.

1/2 Ton vs 3/4 Ton for Family Adventures?

As someone who sounds like they have a lot of experience with full size trucks, do you notice a long bed in real world driving/parking applications over the shortbed? My current f150 supercrew 6.5ft bed truck is perfectly fine parking in most situations, but I'm always leary of getting anything...

1/2 Ton vs 3/4 Ton for Family Adventures?

My last truck was a 2005 f250, with the HD overload springs. I daily drove it 55 miles round trip, and never once thought the ride was "harsh". I had a Honda civic that rode worse actually. I'm sure the spring tech is better than my old 2005, so I wouldn't worry too much about the harshness...

I'm much more of a pickup guy than an SUV guy, so I love this! It's a tough pill to swallow $90k though for a commodity. Maybe in another 5-10 years I'll pick a used one up from a soccer mom trophy wife, who knows

    Super Pacific/Wedge Camper Bug Nets

I don't own a wedge-style camper, but the lack of screens on the gull wing doors have been a big deterrent for me. I guess that's a product of all of the companies being developed in arid locations. Here on the east coast, mosquitos and no see ums will eat you alive without screens! I hope you...

Nice, I like it! I didnt price out all of the components on your list - did you save a lot compared to a pre-made one?

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

I have a Spen model S (very similar to the m416) and have often thought about throwing together a small camper for it. I'd think that other than being quite narrow in the "floor area" that it would work pretty well.

It's interesting that you use that term, there's a youtube channel "coddiwomple overland" that films often in the same area as where @ramblinChet is currently. Funny coincidence perhaps. Love the updates, keep em coming!

What the heck is a fuel system service? Is it literally just a can of fuel injector cleaner in the tank or something?

    Diesel heater passthrough for SUV

Did I miss where you said what press that was? It looks handy! I want a press, but not a monster free-standing one that takes up huge amounts of shop space.
