    UT_I_SKOGEN 80 series build

Pull the hood, repair the rust, light sand and paint the hood yourself sounds like a good plan. The blackout end breaks with my line of sight over the hood so all I see is black. I mainly did it to block the suns reflection and it's secondary that it looks nice. Also, if you don't want to...

    UT_I_SKOGEN 80 series build

You had a lot of good practice fixing up your Tacoma - you'll do great with the 80. As far as the hood blackout, I went with the Crawlarado vinyl - looks great and so did another forum member, trump. The LED back-up lights are very bright and a great improvement over the stock bulbs. Good luck!

Check. You probably already figured this in but the T-case skid is pretty close so watch where you place your reinforcements. You may also want to add a couple drain holes, too. I often got a lot of muck up there. I suppose you enlarged the oil bung access hole, too. Big enough for a...

Just before the rear mount; had to bang it flat a couple times. I think your idea about the angle iron is a good one, but I would have the point of the chevron pointing to the front so as to deflect an obstacle away from the centerline, or to guide the truck off of the peak of an obstacle. And...

Does anyone actual live out of their vehicle?

I don't know... it kind of sounds to me like she just gave me permission to do that auxiliary fuel tank. I mean if I have to move into the truck I'm going to need greater range than what I've got now, right? I'm pretty sure that's what she means.

Looks good Terry. I like your sliders better than mine... the rope ladder keeps getting hung up on stuff.

Does anyone actual live out of their vehicle?

This has been an important thread to monitor. I've learned a lot. Especially since my wife keeps threatening that I might have to move into it.

Yeah - right. Good idea on the belly pan reinforcement. Before SAC, and I had a BudBuilt belly pan, that was a chronic weak point. From an earlier post you mentioned ProClip for your GPS mount - thanks for that reference. I picked one up for my smart phone - now I can easily...

    OXO Good Grips Egg Beater

You may disagree but you're still wrong. I believe you did all those things to preserve food and I recall a lot of practices when I was a kid that are now found to be taboo. Even grew up in a farming region where we slaughtered in the open air and kept eggs in a bowl in the kitchen and butter...
