No steering damper or sway bar at the moment, I am probably going to run a steering damper here soon but I don't really know why, I think I just want to see how noticeable it is when I take it off after driving with it for an extended period of time. My caster is currently at 4.8ish.
Thanks...
Well if its not made by Ford wouldn't it be considered proprietary?
Never mind, i think I get what your saying. He should have said, there are proprietary parts but nothing that would need to be replaced in the future.
Hey MK216V, you should share with the group how you think my van felt driving... no one else has really chimed in yet on their vans to the extent that I think you could.
OH and to add to the thread, my biggest mistake was buying a van that was done by Advanced out of Utah and not knowing enough about 4x4 vans at the time to realize what I was getting myself into.
So I initially started at the last page and saw the damage and thought man thats a bummer but at least no-one got hurt. Then I went back and read the rest of the thread and thought HOLY CRAP THAT SUCKS!
Whichever way you go I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with and my wife's...
Love that truck!
Do you feel a lot of improvement on steering with the dual steering stabilizer? If you had to do it over would you order it again or just order a single fox shock?
I think this thread was a great idea and we can all benefit from it. Misery loves company.
I'm just now getting to the point where my van is mechanically sound, I think. I bought it back in February and have literally touched everything under the van in an effort to have it driving like it...
I no longer have this rig and somedays wish I did, but figured I would share it here anyway...
