How does this work with the Garmin inReach? My experience with the inReach is that I need to initiate communication first before others can contact me. I could be mistaken here.
This would have been nice last year when I was camping in Tahoe National Forest and woke up to thick smoke...
Check ProClip and see if they have anything for your vehicle. I have two of them in my Transit Van and like them a lot.

I'm amazed with what folks are getting away with these days. Here in the city of SF it feels like the Harley's are what I hear the most, and then the uncorked sport bikes a close second.
When we hear them roaring down the streets we usually say "Hooners!" even Mrs Cabrito is saying it now...
I've got the 2000x2500 and found it to be as watertight as a frogs chocolate starfish.. I think it had about 5 gallons of water on it when I woke up in the morning.. Check out how much it's bowed. Thank goodness it wasn't windy that night because I was in my cot tent and nice and dry...
Good stuff. Just goes to show that these bikes want to stay upright and you just need a little momentum, balance, and let the bike move around beneath you. I've seen friends freeze in some of types of terrain in the second video, and not trust themselves or the bike. It takes time and practice...
It's not extended and has a mild build from a DIY kit you purchase. 148" Medium Roof - Passenger T350 with 200w solar up top, and two 100Ah batteries. 30g water tank and sink. Gas water heater for sink / outdoor shower. Propex gas heater for the cabin. Built-in platform bed, lighting and...
Good stuff!
I love my 1090 even if it is way too big for me. I'd been waiting for the Yamaha T7 to come out and got sick of waiting so I got the KTM. I churned through a few different bikes for a few years looking for that perfect KLR replacement. I had a 07 650 Strom for about a year, but...
The guy who services our Fire Extinguishers at our warehouse told me to tap them with a rubber mallet on the bottom to extend their life too. So don't just turn it upside down, but also give it a few good taps with a mallet.
The Quick Grip looks like a solid phone mount. Way more secure than the X-Grip. I really like the RAM products, but you should inspect the mounting arms regularly. I had an older aluminum one break on a trip once. It had developed a small crack that ended up coming apart.
400 mile weekend at the North Bay Motorcycle Club Lost Coast DS ride. I'm wiped out... Need more cardio.
My friend on Usal
Sherwood Road was a little sloppy
This is a dual sport ride, but it's big bike friendly (yeah right..)
I know how hard it is to move on from a KLR. You never know what you're missing when you have a KLR and it's a great bike, but you are probably going to love the T7. I miss my KLR and often think about getting another one, but after having a taste of a more powerful and better braking bike I...
Ack! The Adventure begins when things go wrong.. It makes great story making, but when you're in it you just have to get through it. I have to say that I internally questioned your tire selection for this trip, but I like the 705's and a lot of folks do great with them.
Just got home from SonyBARF 17 from the Bay Area Riders Forum gathering in Stonyford. Two days of super fun dual sport riding.. Most folks are on dirt bikes riding single track, but Mendocino has so much to offer for everyone.

Working our way up to Summit Springs Trailhead...
