Apparently the dryflush works but you'll still have a fair amount of toilet trash to cart around. I dunno, having that much plastic junk for camping seems like a pretty bad waste. The cassette toilet is an option but yeah dumping is going to be what you'd expect and for us it was the limited...
I dont have shocks in the rear but leaf springs. I could swap those for airbags. What are the real world Cons of going with airbags? Its that weight being so high that's creating the Sway.
It's not a huge problem at all right now, especially on normal gravel roads. It doesnt sway hardly...
is there a particular one that's awesome? Do you think I should add an extra leaf spring in there? I'm keeping the camper on the truck for most of the time.
I've got a 2005 F250 V10 gasser with a 1750lb Scout Kenai on the back. I have Torklift Stabiloads on it that sit between the normal leaf springs and the overload springs. Suspension works great and my rig is level with that.
Only issue is that I get some side to side sway when driving on a...
We still have a small bit of fabric sticking out there too but its a small amount. You are probably doing what we do already. We open the windows for sure so that its stops "billowing" out when you close it. Then its just a bit of handwork getting it tucked in and then closing it.
Mattress...
@RAM5500 CAMPERTHING Nice to hear its working. I wondered about the composite getting fumes leaked into. I'm not sure how permeable to that it is but nevertheless I took your advice and applied a solid layer of that sealant all over the exposed hole. Yeah our pee bucket fills up in a day and...
We got out for a quick overnight this last weekend. Man, having the Kenai is so freaking sweet. We aren't perfectly dialed in yet but its just amazing to load up the fridge with food and grab some clothes and go within a couple hours of prep time. That never happens with our family of 4.

@RAM5500 CAMPERTHING How's the Airhead working out so far now? I got ours installed (same JR vent) and our family of 4 using it (2 adults and 2 boys). It was great until it wasn't lol. I think we got some of the liquids into the solids bucket or not dry enough Coco Coir so it had a sewer...
A couple of updates to ours:
1- Electrical - I dug around and there is no panel or fuses etc, but GoalZero got back to me and said I don't need any of that. The wiring is all pretty simple. Seems like most of the runs are 16 AWG and tucked behind the plywood corner pieces or nicely hidden and...
I'm adding in a couple of small 5.1mm pigtails on the wiring to connect to a Sirocco II fan. Its low draw, about .5amps on high I think. The question is...do I need to have the camper wired in with fuses at? Everything is just running through the main APP port with the fridge connected to the...
I used a simple D-ring anchor from home depot on the area where the fridge sits. I put a tiny pilot hole in and then a 5/8ths screw (maybe a touch longer if the bracket is thick). So far so good. I also put an anti-slip mat under the fridge and its just strapped down via the cam-strap...
The OG CFX series seems to be well liked. The new one is a bit more mixed.
there is a lot of good info here:

Makes perfect sense. I just bought some APP 45amp connectors and a crimper. I'll doing the same connection under the lid there. The NL fridges are pretty dang bullet proof. There have been some issues and a recall with the Dometic CFX3 line but plenty of people seem to be getting along well...
Nice on the NL. Baseplate Idea is interesting. I don't think it'll work tho as there are the jack base plates right there in that area and the NL base plate wouldn't be able to lie flush against the floor. You don't want to mess with those Jack plates either (the black metal plate in that...
Thanks for the pic! My cousin uses small turnbuckles for his fridge mount in Land cruiser. Pretty stout but maybe too stout for those little footman brackets and those 5/8" screws. Is it a big deal? I'm guessing you just get it all tightened down and then leave it right? I havent committed...
@GeorgeHayduke can you send me a picture of the right side of your fridge tie down? I'm interested in how that is done being that there is a big jackplate on there
Cool, to note, these are the jacks when fully compacted in. When it was up on the jacks, the jacks were fully extended out. The upper support beam folds out.
This is what I'm thinking for mounting the Fridge Tie-down. I'll likely glue it down with Manus Bond 75AM (225PSI) and put a couple of 1/2in screws in. You can see the cam-strap slot at the top of the handle. Think that'll be nice?
