Thanks for taking one for the team :giggle: (y) I am not yet sure about the Takibi Solo. Is it a replacement for the small Fireplace? I don't think so as the weight and dimensions are more Medium sized. I took the Small Fireplace on a kajak trip. I don't think I would/could bring the solo but...

I have never had any issues with other canisters with a Lindal valve, which seems to be the point of the standardised valve. Perhaps a bad batch of canisters?

Thanks for your thoughts Chris. The overall idea would be to have a IGT 830 legset but two parts per leg that connect. Perhaps something like this to join the two halves and tap some screws in the side to hold it together?

Looks good. Did you make the 1 Unit 'frame' yourself (that holds the Unicera)? It seems to fit nicely this way. Now let's improvise a lid (little higher/bigger than the SP BBQ box) and you have got something :-)

I have seen other clones but these are new to me. Certainly looks similar. I assume the 4 leg extension tables are meant to be able to be used freestanding? I don't think I would use that option often, but it is always nice to have options :)

I am afraid this might be on the soon to be extinct list. A friend brought my set back from holiday in Japan in 2016. They are still around but getting scarse.

The handle doesn't lock but relies on gravity to stay attached to the skillet. Whilst not impossible I would say you would need Popeye forearms and great technique to do this type of wok action with a cast iron skillet. Better to use a wok :D
