    Bigger than full-size... International CXT

Ford's F650 is pretty crazy too! I'll stick with my lil ol Nissan. I heard somewhere that they only get like 7mpg.

I'll call just don't know when. Baby's eating and pooping a lot of finances right now. Gotta wait till I get another design job first. Thanks for the info!

    My favorite picture

Scott maybe we should have a gallery of "nature shots" to peruse through. Possibly a place to upload a couple of individuals rig shots just to have a lil looksee at everyones vehicles. Don't know if there's space for it but just a thought.

Very cool setup. Bajataco has the five camera system yet you have a single. Does TVP sell the components individually?

Looking good Scott. Digging the new graphics The airline that you ran from the compressor to the front...did you run that through the frame or outside? IOW, how did you secure the airline? That deck looks great!

    Tacoma/Frontier DC Bed Tent?

I haven't heard anything negative. I do know a couple of people that have one for their Xterra and they like it.

Looks like fun! Who's white X is that? Almost looks like Carlton's.

    Headlamps anyone?

Okay maybe a corny question but what about the ones advertised on TV that are battery-less? Simply shake and turn on. I've seen them in Discovery store but do not have any long-term experience with it. Hmmm, maybe someone needs to create one for your head. Simply talk to your wife while...

New guy here & a question

I hate to say it but I'd lean towards the Taco probably. WHAT?!? Yep. While I do like the new Fronty and it's power, the stance sucks. My wife's Escape has more ground clearance! But it does have that rear locker. Calmini already has some serious lift kits for the new Fronty but I think...

I'm in the process of mounting a compressor in an ammo can but I'm concerned about the heat buildup inside a semi-sealed container. Is it unwarranted? How are others preventing this from happening? I've thought about using a CPU fan to help bring in cool air. Bad idea or alternate ideas?

Scott, did I know you're building a DeMello rear bumper but did he build the swing gate or did you? I'm curious about the hinge configuration. I'm still going back and forth on a design. A friend and I came up with one that acutally "Slides" back away from the tailgate and can still swing...

Scott what about all the other doodads for the OBA? Like the pressure switch, checkvalve, and a safety release valve? Did you skip those lil tinkertoys or are they mounted elsewhere? Slick looking deck you made.

    Best camp meal?

Simple...children! ;) Seriously, why not hook up a car battery to an electric motor or something like that? Boy that looks good! Never had a pig on a spit before.

Understanding vehicle efficiency, and its effect on payload

    Could not find any payload capacities other taan cu.ft. for the Xterra and Pathfinder. Here's what I found... Vehicle EPA (City) | Total Gallons | Fuel Mass | Mass Variance | 5gal Cans Frontier 15 | 67 Gal | 402 lbs. | 48 lbs. | +2 Pathfinder | 15 | 67 Gal. | 402 lbs. | +2 Xterra 16 | 62.5...

Understanding vehicle efficiency, and its effect on payload

Are you using sticker mpg or estimated for modified vehicles? I think I'll try and put some numbers together for an Xterra, Pathfinder, and a Frontier to see how they rate.

    Best camp meal?

breakfast - warmed tortillas with scrambled eggs (maybe throw in some Baco's for texture and taste) lunch - sandwiches or a burrito placed on the engine during the morning trailride dinner - hamburgers (or steaks), fried potatoes, and my favorite - Ranch style beans! Gotta have the gas to...

Rating and selecting a vehicle: A guideline

Something to chew on...parts availibility and economical replacments. Finding replacement parts for an H2 in Mexico or anywhere not within 50 miles of a Hummer dealer might be difficult. Jeep on the other hand...parts could be found just about anywhere since they tend to be mechanically more...

    Simple storage solutions

Are the Pangaea Stormcases waterproof? Bit pricey but looks to offer good protection for expensive items - camera's etc. How do they compare with the ARB Space case?
