I just took delivery yesterday of a new, squeaky clean V1 on a Ford F350 oil rig with lots of shiny aftermarket doo-dads, bells, whistles and thingamajigs.
Although I probably should be overflowing with excitement about our V1 and struggling to get under control romantic notions to run north to...
Yeah, different horses for different courses. I poked my head in the V2 today. The FWC is a great product (I own one) but the features OutbacKamper mentioned above put the XP (also own) in a different category, IMO.
I think av8r nailed the two great recommendations for extended winter camping. Although you can stay out in the other campers such as Four Wheel Camper, All Terrain Camper or Palomino, they will require significant insulation and you will burn through propane (unless you get a catalytic heater...
Follow up....the reason this is important to me is I'm about to have an ARB locker installed in the rear 3.73 pumpkin and I'd rather not have to go back split it open again (along with the front).
Also, if I re-gear, will the ARB locker fit the next gear down? Something tells me it won't...

I went with the 4.5" suspension lift and 35" tires. I'm hoping it looks like a slightly smaller version of yours.
I dunno...I'm thinking I'm going to love my 6.0L as soon...
I dunno....looks like XPCamper will be rollin' in for the kill at OE '13.

Bump for an interesting (to me) topic. Now that Spring is here in the northern hemisphere, anybody have any post-Winter reflections on diesel furnace, hot water and cooking appliances?
Meindl Safari Mid or Lowa Zephyr Desert Mid would be my first choice. I have a pretty strict "no tacticool" clothing rule I'd be willing to break for either one of these boots. Lowas are next on the list after I wear out my 5th pair of Meindl boots.
