I really like some of the ideas on here. My only issues are building something that's a complete pain in the MMM to remove when I go to the hardware store.
I want my bed to be useful both ways.
I really like the one layout the guy has here where he has the two sides and then the piece that...
Alright, just thought I'd post an update. I had the rack fixed and although it fixed some problems there are still others. However after searching some Dodge forums we have found a ton of people with the same issues. The problem is the steering linkage from the steering wheel to the rack...
Capt.,
To be honest I think some of the things are just inherit to a Dakota. My friend has the same one and had his rack replaced do to steering issues and now his problems are gone. he also did the ball joints, which I think probably should be replaced, but who knows.
I know there's a bad...
No such luck with the warranty. Freebie? Who do you know... haha.
The power train warranty doesn't cover the rack. Only the water pump back.
Thanks for the idea.
Thanks for the responses. Here's the deal. On my lunch break I went to go out and the steering was so bad I took it right to the dealer, the same dealer that two weeks ago said there was nothing wrong with the truck. Well now apparently they say I might need anything from a steering pump to a...
I know. My dad had an extended cab one that I liked a lot, minus the space in the back seat. Just didn't think the money was worth it and the V8 was worth it. I won't make that mistake ever again.
spency,
I plan on getting it looked at again. I actually hoping the wheels fall off the thing...
I have a 2004 Dakota and I was very excited to get the thing since I was in car there for a little while and I had a Dodge Ram which I loved and never had a problem with. I bought this used with 20 some thousand miles on it and thought everything was fine but now I'm having some serious...
Can someone tell me their experience with the best way to run a wire through the roof for a beacon/emergency light?
Right now I have my volunteer firefighter blue light running through the door and all it does is make a point for the water to come through when it rains.
I want to drill a hole...
Very cool truck indeed. Just how many incarnation has it had with the bed? Sweet CD set up, when I had my taco I always thought about putting one there.
We bought, or registered anyway, for that carrier and can't wait to try it out on some trails after our little one is here and can get in there.
Great pictures and trip report. Looks like you enjoyed yourselves. My dogs have no problem sleeping the night away in the tent. My daughter sleeps...
All good stuff.
I love climbing but never get to do it enough. I have yet to make it outside for more than a little bouldering but hope to one of these days.
Good explanation of top-roping Redbeard.
Nice pictures.
I really need to go wheeling. Love the pictures. Just ran into a guy the other day who had an X, plain as can be but had over 200k on the clock. At the same time some other guy pulls in with a newer X with Rausch Creek stickers, custom bumpers and highlift jack.
Su-weet.
