Wiring for Lights on Roof Rack

You can also pass the lighting wires through the third brake light. There's typically a rubber or poly gasket at the light housing that will conform around your wires for a pretty painless entry into the cab area. Wish I had a picture for you.

    The Holidays. Post em up!

Nice work. Several of you expo-ers might recognize this one. Brooke did the honors this year of getting dirty with a saw to cut that tree down: Just to keep up with the rest of you lushes . . .

    The Holidays. Post em up!

Super shots everybody. The girls at my house put on some snazzy new LED lights for the tree, which gives this cool blue glow. Check it.

There we go. Thanks Wil. I think you need the bushings as well, and you may as well get the shackles too if you're going for it.

Mounting Roof-Rack through the actual roof?

It's easy as apple pie. The Thule and Yakima products use proprietary (or perhaps just specialized) fasteners that either attach to your factory rain gutters or through the roof sheet metal. I have a good amount of pictures of the an install using Yakima products to do exactly what you're...

My new vehicle: 2005 Nissan Frontier

I'm not totally sure. Hub-to-fender measurement is 23" IIRC. I don't recall the stock measurement. All loaded up the suspension hardly even moans. It just keeps on grinning. Love it.

They're on the garage floor right now. I don't quite know what will happen there. I hope I don't need them in the future.

My new vehicle: 2005 Nissan Frontier

Something's new in the neighborhood. I've rolled on a pretty inadequate rear suspension considering the weight: 100+ lbs RTT, steel bumper & tire carrier, cabinetry/drawers, 115-some lbs of water, aux battery & fundamental tools inside the crossover box, and then toss in the Engel and a...

    Photo Filters

A while ago Bill Green told me about the "blue-n-gold" filter, claiming the wonders it does for mid-day shooting. Any thoughts on this one? http://www.singh-ray.com/goldnblue.html Cokin version: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/b-y_polarizer.shtml

Not really directed at the original poster: what about controlling white balance more? For instance, let's say you're shooting in late afternoon sun. If you set the WB for shady conditions, you'll get a warmed effect; a yellowish tobacco thing going on. To go along with this, using a...

Nice pictures, Natalie. That's a fun train trip. I've got some nice memories on that train. You didn't mention it, but did you happen to spot a bald eagle?

:) On the highway, we've still managed 17-18 mpg in the best scenarios. In town it's 14 generally. Cheers, Mark

FS: Used OME N85 Nitrocharger Shocks

These babies have 34,000 miles on them. The Old Man Emu n85 is typically a Tacoma and 4Runner application, but they worked for my Frontier as well. The paint's been worn off on some sections from use on dirt roads (in case that's not totally obvious). They've got some miles in 'em yet, and...
