    Isuzu Giga loosing acceleration

Interesting. I wonder if you could add a schraeder valve to a fuel tank cap....then pump five PSI into the tank to help the prime?

Flys - I agree with you that introducing other elements/connections into the system will up the chances for failures, however the stock fuel filter for my truck is smaller than I've ever seen on any diesel truck out there. By quite a bit. I do know that diesel has a tendency to have more...

Yet another thing...Fuso trucks are all over africa, and I wonder how they deal with fuel there? I see there's at least one expedition motorhome builder in South Africa that uses Fuso FG chassis. Who knows? Might be a non-issue. I'll wait for someone else to prove/disprove that though :sombrero:

Kill joy, betcha you're lots of fun at parties. :coffeedrink: lol IAC, I'll go through the shop manual, but I think Gatsma has it correct - there is no muffler, but I think that the DPF functions well as one also. EAB - I think what you're referring to is the quality of fuel? If so, I'm...

    Isuzu Giga loosing acceleration

I had a truck once - had an in tank fuel prefilter. Older truck and there was enough crap in the tank that the prefilter would load up after a bit, starve the vehicle until pulled over and shut off. Once shut off, crap would fall off the prefilter, opening it up enough to flow a bit...restart...

:Wow1: I'll call Busbee's Monday and see how much they want for them over here. I'll post up when I find out, but if they're in that range....nope. Then again, I've got another few years on the warranty and I'd only be doing this once the warranty is done. By that time there might be an OBD...

Why not use a commercial box as a camper conversion?

Web - how much of the work can you do yourself? Reading what your parameters are, I'd probably opt for a 2wd with LS, better suspension and clearance, and leave it at that. Maybe a winch, maybe not. Just remember that every modification comes with an attendant train of other required mods...

Welded up my garage pod. Anyone want to trade a FTR/T7500 for a NRR? :-)

Looks terrific! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Hmmm...I wonder how much an ECU goes for? I might have to give Busbee a call and see if they've got one. Purely an academic exercise, of course. For information purposes only. All NFA laws apply.

How many 2012+ FG owners here?

Fine...you and me Howard, I'll even let you be VP in our new, exclusive club. :sombrero: I'm still deciding about dues, and whether or not I want to be a member of a club that'd accept me. Ah, the hell with it, I resign. John - yep, hopefully he sees fit to post, sounds like a very...

Is 4WD necessary in a Light Truck? Diff Locks Sufficient?

Yet another factor in figuring out the 4x4 or 4x2 issue - one of the major reasons that I like four wheel drive is it lets me get into places that I could have gotten into with a simple two wheel drive rig - but I'd beat the hell out of the 4x2 getting there. 4x4, and even better 4x4 with a good...

    Diving in Head First!

Niiice! Looking forward to your ride report on how they perform. I'm looking at doing reservoir shocks too - Bil, King, Fox are the top runners right now. You still sticking with the Timbren rubbers? Or?

    Front spring travel question

I agree with Kerry about the stops - and even with the modded springs I think they contribute to harshness. I'm thinking about installing some pneumatic bumps myself, along with reservoir shocks.

Day One...not that this is going to go fast, or anything

LOL.....actually I do mount a large rack on the back of the F350 now for things like firewood, coolers, motorcycle, etc. For the FG I'm foreseeing a bike rack (motorcycle and bicycle). I'm speccing three receiver points on the front - one central to run a trailer ball/pintle if needed, and two...

Day One...not that this is going to go fast, or anything

Ah, thanks for the clarification. Aluminess has a few of the roof racks right now in their shop, waiting for powdercoating and to be sent up north. As you say, the trim fit is nice...but for me, I don't mind having something sticking out. Matter of fact I might drop a couple of clearance...

Day One...not that this is going to go fast, or anything

Howard: Interesting, and thanks for those pics! Aluminess down here in San Diego area actually does the bumpers for them here in the states, from my understanding. Even though it's a fast procedure to flip that bumper forward, I'd prefer to have a fixed bumper that gives clearance for the cab...

Day One...not that this is going to go fast, or anything

General angles that you've got there, pugslyyy are basically what I'm looking for. I'd like more protection though, and I'll be putting additional receiver points on the front of the bumper also, both for a standard hitch, and setting up rack mounts. I plan on having the brush guard come up...
