    Lr3 expo roof rack fixings

Would you have the 4 brackets that fit into the roof rails? If so, could you measure the size of the threads? I've found pictures for the fronts with sizes and angles which I'm getting made up. However, the rears are proving difficult to get sizes for. :/

    Lr3 expo roof rack fixings

Long shot here with this. I have found a expo roof rack that's in great condition, no holes have been drilled etc. It's under 100 miles each way to collect so not terrible for distance. It however, comes with 0 of the fixings to the roof, none of them. Trying to find fixings is turning up...

LR3 (Disco 3) buying question: History of the short block replaced. Major red flag?

Could need drop links x4, arb bushes x4, the front lower wishbones, the rear upper wishbones, front wheel bearings, maybe an alternator or battery if both are original. They are heavy cars and have lots of electrics, if the electrics start to throw hissy fits, 9/10 times it's due to battery or...

Off road lights, what do you have/use?

Thank you all for your various ideas, inputs and suggestions. I'm going to go with LED light bars, the pictures of them lighting up stuff and the low power draw has sold it for me. So, in true fashion for all ideas i have, i'm applying my usual logic of, " if you can't take it to the extreme...

Where can you get these RS sliders? Did a google image search, they look the business! Thanks for the info on driving with the rods, going ahead with them.

Off road lights, what do you have/use?

This is how the car ended up after the weekend, bumper mounted stuff would be rather muddy..... haha. That LED bar is VERY effective! I had no idea they were that good. One of the stages will be driving though dense forest at night, some will be going over off road courses, which will be...

Expedition Portal Project: 2008 Range Rover Sport

How do you like the car with the rods fitted? Have just ordered a set of 2.5inch rods for my D3, from a company in Austrailia as they were going for $100 AUS dollars, which is £55 to me, plus shipping is only £7 which has made it a no brainer for me.. haha. Like you, i don most of my driving on...

    Lucky8’s Project Discovery 3

Lost a starter on mine doing similar last year. Also out to prove that the D3 could hold its own. Good battery, alternator and starter will keep them happy. Glad you read up on how to get more from them, with some knowledge they really are surpringly good off road, very capable package from...

Off road lights, what do you have/use?

Those remote lights look interesting, i had no idea they made stuff like that! Have a few new ideas to beat around and see what could work and what won't. Any more ideas from people? Keep them coming!

Off road lights, what do you have/use?

Hello, thanks for the replies. The sections we will need lights for will be low speed, high maneuverability sections, reading from maps to find our way across a course, but also to find and write down letters on white backing hidden across the course. These letters were hidden in all sorts of...

Off road lights, what do you have/use?

As title really. Later this year in November, i have a weekend off road competition i shall be entering in my D3. I entered it last year and despite my mate Kevin and i being totally new to it, both with limited off road experience, we placed 23rd out of 67 and 19th in our class. Which was a...

    LR3 Dash Trim?

If it's the trim around the vents and the centre dash area, it pulls out and is easily changed. You need to give it a strong tug but it does come apart easily.

Solving the gas Crisis - 95 Discovery I

I would echo the comments, don't take it out in the salt. D1s can rot like pears with salt and trapped mud under them. That's a clean example, look after it. The 300tdi responds well to having the EGR valve removed, some nice silicone hoses, and maybe a tweak on the fuel pump to give a bit...

    Johnson rods, good or bad?

I asked on the "Show us your lr3/lr4 thread" back in February about Johnson rods. Lr's being Lr's however, wanted a cash sacrifice to the Gods of reliability so blew that idea out the water for a bit. Now, back to thinking about getting these rods for off roading, thanks to work, my mileage...

LR4 19s, Load Ratings and the Cooper Zeon vs Wrangler Adventure

I think I just have a duff set. There were a few D3 owners who bought our sets at the same time, others are getting much better life and so e are on course to hit 40-50k from a set. I am going with changing them at 3/4mm tread depth as by then they are pretty much spent for off road use but...

Anybody doing an LR3 as an off-road rig?

Well, you won't be getting any of my millions. :p OT, but how is Seattle? I'm travelling over in September for 10 days, any good areas to check on? Feel free to PM, if you wish. :)
