Yeah I think Step 2 is how those get ruled out. I have power to the harness, it gets lost somewhere internal to the compressor wiring.

Thanks. I had tried that originally and I received the same error message and then read somewhere to go to the control panel. That did work but I was given another message since the Kenwood is Live I can’t save or upload. Slow progress but at least progress nonetheless.
