Lightforce 140s for ON and OFF Road??

Nice move Scott. Cutting ties with sponsorship will alleviate questions about alliances influencing reviews. It’s best to eliminate any element that has the potential to compromise impartiality.

    hand winch recommendations

I am fairly sure I understand your interest in hand winches. I once had a desire to have a hand winch over a bumper mounted electric. The flexibility of using it on any recovery point and any rig is appealing. I analyzed electric winches and it looked like a nearly endless opportunity to...

Fender Mounted Axe and Shovel on JK? Your vote counts!

Mark another hash in the "NO" column. It's nice of you to let us vote but who among us is qualified to critique your rigs. I have never found use for an axe and don't carry one but I like the idea of hanging the shovel above the sliders, under the door. I like what you're doing to address...

    Adventure Trailers becomes Overland Certified

Ahhh, I see. I misunderstood, I was under the impression that your products completed some sort of a certification process. I'm sure the training was enjoyable, congrats.

    Surplus Gear?

I find I use all sorts of gear I have accumulated over my 22 year USAF career. When compared to commercial gear, mil-sec is generally heavy but very robustly built. Some of my favorite and most frequently used bits of kit include my Cammenga Tritium Lensatic Compass (ballz accurate&bomb...

What to do to your XJ seats?

Yep ZJ seats are a bolt in solution. The problem I've found is that finding a pair of long in the tooth ZJ seats that are not worn out is very, very challenging. I have been looking into some Corbeaus, good seats and shockingly affordable. If I pull the trigger, I'll post up a photo.

    What Jeep Cherokee???

THEPATRIOT, why are you in the market for a Jeep? What happened to the $500 Trooper? If I'd have found a $500 Trooper in the condition of the one you bought I would not own my XJ.

    What Jeep Cherokee???

Here's my opinion on the subject, get a late model Cherokee, 1997-2001. They can be had very inexpensively. The late models have a more modern appearing interior, steel hatch, 29 spline Chryco 8.25 dif and better (I use the term loosely) brakes. The 97-99s had a high pinion axle up front...
