I had that exact setup on all my Tacomas but had my tent opening side to side. I considered having the tent open towards the back but wanted an awning so that wouldn't work. There were only a few times that I didn't have enough room to open the tent on one side and the awning on the other.

I have always left my RTTs mounted, but my trucks aren't daily driven.

I just traded in my Tacoma for an FJ 2 weeks ago. I loved my Tacoma but I'm really enjoying the FJ.

To verify a tacoma has the OR package check for the rear locker button to the left of the steering wheel. I've had 3 Tacoma TRD trucks and loved them all. You can't go wrong with a Tacoma. Stick with OME and forget about the Bro Comp 6" lift.
