The WK2 has several 4x4 options, I think they are more than capable for what people use them for. Here is thread link where I detailed my experiences:

I have a Hobie 12' Pro Angler which works great when I put in back of Jeep, but I want to use with Chinook more for fishing so looking at either getting a trailer for it or switching to an inflatable kayak/board I can store in rig.
If I go inflatable I am looking at this Sea Eagle...
Do you have any problems with connectivity to iPad? I have two gadgets (deeper sonar and bore scope) that use internal wifi to connect to my iphone/ipad but getting them to connect is very frustrating most of the time. With backup camera I would like instant read every time.
Mods, feel free to move if this is wrong spot.....
Anyone have experience with wireless backup cameras on their rigs? I specifically want to know if they work without connection problems cropping up at wrong time (like when you need them)?
Thanks
I looked at lockers last year but can't remember price, I opted to not go that way and just went with 4.5" lift, radius arms, shocks, sterring stabilzer and bigger Duratracs.
I agree on resale with 4x4, I think I can get money back on current mods, the 4x4 conversion would be sold at loss...
My two cents.....
Last year I bought a 2001 2wd 21' Chinook Cooncourse built on a Ford e-350 chasis, good gearing with limited slip diff. My goal was to use it as a basecamp for boonedocking close to my fishing spots several hours from home. This way I can show up at night, boonedock, fish...
The GC were elimated due to space issues and difiiculty reaching them to fill with water, the 6v AGM seemed like best compromise since they are identical to Group 27 size which my compartment/slide was designed for and for my circumstances. I can see going to Lithium in 4 - 5 years and if these...
So based on my usage which will typically be 2 - 3 day weekend trips, mostly under tree canopy except when driving I am estimating using at most 135 ah per winter trip (if I was an energy hog I would be at 159 ah over 3 days with furnance blasting all night) , summer would be much less. I...
I keep my ARB refrig at 38*, never used as freezer. I have ARB's external monitor but not sure if it reads inside temp or temp from digital guger readout on frig. Either way my food/stuff is always cold. Saying "sweet spot is 28* for cold to me is odd. Normal refrigerators are usually around...
Any have experience with Move Bumpers: https://www.movebumpers.com/gallery/ford/e350-van/1992-2007. They actually look pretty good and not too heavy.
They are sold in panels with you doing the welding. I saw one on van at recent Expo East but the guy recommended not going with them as he had...

That's interesting, we did have new tranny put in during summer. Son uses jeep at college but home for Thanksgiving break, when he goes back to school I'll ask him to try this and bring back to tranny place to check wiring - thanks.
We are having intermetant starting problems on 2004 4.7 liter GC. Several shops couldn't solve, yesterday son brought to dealer and they said they don't work on jeeps over 10 years old or 150k miles, this was dealer in Atlanta.
