    XJ needs a new muffler

Don't stray too far from OEM, IMHO. I've had a high-flow muffler from a popular brand I cannot remember, and at idle it sounded nice, but at freeway speeds it gave me a headache. The XJ's don't have much noise-dampening qualities about them, as you probably already know. I wonder if there's a...

JK Overland Project: Expeditions West 3.0

I don't know, man. Have you seen this thing up close? It'd be A LOT less expensive to just buy this as a complete package already built than to just buy a new JK and purchase all the parts separate. It would include removing the suspension, carpet, both bumpers, the hood, all 5 wheels, just...

JK Overland Project: Expeditions West 3.0

It's definitely up there for me, too. Seeing it in person is even more impressive. If I had the means, I'd purchase one in a heartbeat if they ever decide to produce them (likely? Probably not...). It really is everything I want and nothing I don't. Well, maybe a diesel would be nice in it...

    Best Year For XJ?

'99 is arguably the best year, IMHO. It's the last year they used a high-pinion D30 in the front, and I'm told they used a less restrictive exhaust system. Look for one with a 231 transfer case, and a Chryco 8.25 rear axle. Also, purple ones make the best overland vehicles. :sombrero:

I think I stumbleupon'd his site once before... Very impressive stuff, thought provoking and inspiring.

    Add one more Cherokee...

Yeah, I definitely learned my lesson from the other packs. That, and I went with rubber bushings instead of poly this time. (What the Hell was I thinking?!) The difference is astounding. A well-traveled kit. :ylsmoke:

    Add one more Cherokee...

That was gonna be my first guess, just wanted to be sure. Thanks troy. :victory: Oh, and I replaced my headlights a couple months ago. I didn't think it was a big enough deal to put it in the thread, tho. I just went with Sylvania SilverStars. $45 for the pair, and it's 100% better. They...

    Add one more Cherokee...

While looking at my pictures, I noticed something is wrong. I haven't looked into it too deeply yet, but if someone knows what's going on here... It's the driver's side front.

I still have to install the adjustable trackbar (panhard), steering stabilizer, and swaybar disconnects. I really like the stance, though.

    Add one more Cherokee...

Finally got some work done this weekend. I took the leaf springs apart to put the overload spring into the pack. I thought this was a good time to make sure they won't squeak. I sprayed a layer of white lithium grease between all the springs. All the stuff together, waiting for...

    Looked at an XJ,need advice!

Don't do it, man. Save your money, and then, keep saving. $600 is a lot of money when it buys something you won't be happy with. XJ's are pretty inexpensive as they are, you can get one in good/fair condition for around $3k. Would this be your only vehicle?

Load Range C, 245/75R16 Tires Revisited

I just put 245/75R16's on my Cherokee yesterday. I went with the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. I did about 50 miles of dirt road today and about 50 of pavement. They're quiet on the street (maybe a light buzz, but not noticeable unless you listen for it.) but nice and squishy and they grip well...
