    Tacoma Headlight / Fog Lights

I guess I am kind of a lighting snob. On my pervious 4x4's I have been able to upgrade the headlights to e-code headlights. I think they have a much better light pattern, fewer hot spots, great cut off, and the part of the low beam to light up street signs on the side of the road. I don't know...

    Tacoma Headlight / Fog Lights

Thanks Thanks for the links - I will check out the other sites - I have read some of the installations for "street" applicaions. I care much more about the functionality of the lights rather than the image.

    Tacoma Headlight / Fog Lights

A couple of Tacoma Questions: 1) Does anyone know if the OEM fog lights can be modified to operate with either the low-beams or parking lights on, and then turn off with the brights? The fog lights on my TJ operate like this and it's great. It allows me to use the fog lights as DRL in bad...

Tire Chains on a 06 Tacoma Sport

More It helps if I read the entire section of the manual on chains. The manual does say "Install chains on the rear tires as tightly as possible. Do no use tire chains on the front tires." That's kind of lame... You would think that Toyota would have designed it with a little more clearance...

Tire Chains on a 06 Tacoma Sport

Follow-up The clearance for the rear wheels appears good, I am concerned about the front wheels. The owners manual states that chains should be used on all four wheels, but the side links should be 5mm (.2" ) and the cross links should be 6.3mm (.25")

Tire Chains on a 06 Tacoma Sport

I was using the 70F day to see if the tire chains I have on hand will fit my Tacoma (seems like a better time then on I-70 in a blizzard, trying to pull someone out of the way). The chains I have are to small, but their also seems to be a clearance issue between the front tires, and the spindle...

    Deep Cycle Battery Testing

I am looking for methods to check the capacity of a Deep Cycle battery. I have one that charges up fine, but does not seem to hold a charge for very long when in use. I know they have load testers for starting batteries, but I need to test for long term draw down testing Any suggestions?

Found : A good size Tire for Stock 05+ TACOs

16 inch rim I think the tire for a 16" rim would be a 235/85R16 - I don't think they make a 245/85R16. Interested in this thread since I will be purchasing new tires for my TRD Sport - Currently I have the 17" rims on it, but I purchased a set of 16" TRD Off Road rims. Looking at 245/75R16.

    Re-tread tires

OTR Mud I ran 4 OTR (31x10.5x15) mudd tires with green diamonds on my 99 TJ from Hi Tec. The tires were capped LTX. Overall, they were good tires off road, in the snow/ice, and rain. A bit of road noise expecially when they were worn down. When I bought them, they were 1/2 the price of a...

    Tires now or later?

Thanks Thanks - The tires are some really bad studded snow tires, P225/60R15. The tires are terrible to look at, sound terrible when driving, and really have no business on a jeep. Time to put the 31" BFG AT on and have a respectable jeep. Thanks for the help!
