WARN 6.5" Dual beam Offroad Lights....SOLD

Man... SO tempting... FYI, you do need both the wiring harness and the special control switch, not just the harness only, unless you are going to hack it up for a switch.

    Alaskan Camper Build Up

Cool to see progress but holy overhang Batman! Really didn't think there would be that much behind the tires. Can't wait to see the flatbed on and the camper on it.

Three Jeep Cherokee Classic 16x7 5 Spoke Wheels

Hi everyone, I have three (3) Jeep Cherokee Classic 16x7, 5 spoke wheels left over from the sale of my Cherokee. I had bought the set of 4, that matched my Cherokee, so I could have a matching spare in the Jeep and the other three were slated for a trailer. Never got around to using them for...

5/16" Steel Winch Cable, New 92'

Hi everyone, I have a brand new 5/16" Smittybuilt steel winch cable that came off an XRC-8000 winch. It was basically taken off the spool as I replaced the line with Master Pull line. Has hook. Smittybilt specs say 92' in length. $40 Perfer local pick up in San Diego, CA but will ship with...

    70 C-20 4x4 Suburban Father/Son project

I drove my M1010, 6.2 NA, turbo 400, 4.56 gears on 35" tires from San Diego up to the local mountains. Rig weighed in at 6500 lbs withe aerodynamics of a brick (even more than a 'burb). I was pulling up the grades on the freeway, cruising at 55-60 mph and honestly, it wasn't as bad as I...

    70 C-20 4x4 Suburban Father/Son project

In a lot of ways Jack has hit the nail on the head. I ran into that with my M1010 project. It would have made a super cool rig but I figured out that I didn't want to spend the next 1-2 years building it when I could be out camping instead. That is what motivated us to go with the Dodge and...

    70 C-20 4x4 Suburban Father/Son project

Yes! but I might be a little bias. :D Bummer to hear about the 6.2. Not an uncommon problem and it has been talked about that this issue occurs more due to the harmonics of the engine design and a Fluidamper balancer greatly decreases this issue. Ideally a P400 block or a 6500 Optimizer is...

Zodi tent heater blowing in the side of the van.

The Zodi (had one I sold to Trump) runs all the time. It has a burner. You MUST have the fan on before you light the burner. I belive that is why Zodi took them off the market for a (redo) as the exchanger would overhead, crack and allow burnt gases into the air side of the system.

Tire size for a one ton truck 235/85/16 vs 265/75/16??

Downside of the 85 series tires is, you are not likely to find a replacement in stock at most any tire store. If you really end up needing one in a hurry, it could be a problem. The 265 or 285/75 you are likely to find a replacement (might not be same brand) at almost all tire stores, in...

Hey Brian, glad to see you are still out there. :) Haven't seen ya post up in a while. As for your questions, the 460 is a solid engine but is definitely gas hungry. Given your description of how your wife is going to commute in it, I'll be surprise if you ever break 10 mpg. City/stop and go...

    Alaskan Camper Build Up

Wonder if you could take a couple of old dually wheels, cut the rim hoop off but leave enough to cover the brake assembly? Another idea would be a axle mounted "cover" over the front half of the rotor area. I am sure there are a few ways that could be done to protect things. I would want...

    Four Wheel Camper Flatbed Conversion

I have to agree with Tyler. If I was going to buy a new welder, I would be looking at the Miller 211 with the 100 spoolgun. I am half tempted to sell the two MIG welders I have and buy this setup but not too long ago I spent $300 to have the Snap On welder repaired. Looking good Tyler. Keep...

    New to us, FWC Grandby

Because this unit was originally built for a Ford SuperDuty which has a taller cab height. The major benefit is that I have an extra 4" of head room, even when the top is down. Makes eating lunch, taking a nap, etc. much nicer if you have the top down. Down side is the look of the larger gap...

    Alaskan Camper Build Up

Man, totally awesome build on the last one with a total surprised ending. Definitely did not see that coming. Sorry about the lost. New rig is looking great and agreed, great color. Should be an awesome rig based on the last one. New wheels/tires look great. One question, what wireless...
