    Project "Autonomous" F-350

I'm pretty sure he discusses the weight rating, and they're not D rated. I think the rating has low margins but it's still legit.

Are lockers overkill in a large F550 camper? Dana 135 locker? Front True Trac?

With articulation that good, and tires that big, plus 4WD, I really think making any changes to your diffs are unnecessary.

Baja California (Norte), January 2016...just us and our amigo, "El Niño!"

My van couldn't hang with your van in a lot of those places. But I have driven it to a lot of those same places. The trip out to San Borja is fun. Where's that natural arch? PM me to keep it on the down low. Let me know if you get up to Central Oregon sometime. Cold beer waiting.

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

Never seems hard to find a trail that's overgrown and narrow. I've got plenty of Baja pinstriping on my van because of that.

Motovan===2000 Ford E350 ex-wheelchair van converted to moto hauler

It's probably stronger this way because the fulcrum is inline with the frame rails instead of hanging several inches below it, so there's less leverage.

Motovan===2000 Ford E350 ex-wheelchair van converted to moto hauler

Totally awesome. I sanded it and painted it in hammer finish Rustoleum black and it looks good. I just got a Smittybilt Beaver step for attaching my gigantic 33,000 pound ARB snatch strap. Smittybilt Beaver step by Trevor Stellrecht, on Flickr Lots of updates here...

    F450 Ambulance-Opinions needed...

I have a van, and my next rig will be either a 4x4 F550 with the 7.3l and swap on a 14ft Uhaul box with the Mom's attic for bed space. Or, just run the 2WD Uhaul F350 with the big block 460. I want the truck front end. Converting an F450 or 550 to 4WD difficulty vs the 350 series? I don't...

    insulation or dynamat under bedrug?

The wheel wells will be your biggest source of noise. The bed rug should be adequate for the floor, but if you want the bang for your buck I'd add something to the rear wheel wells.

It's 6'2" at the center of the fiberglass top. With the full width loft I built, there's enough room to lay on your side without touching the ceiling, but nowhere near enough to sit up. It's a bit of an gymnastics maneuver to climb in to bed, but I've been pretty inebriated and still been able...
