It's probably stronger this way because the fulcrum is inline with the frame rails instead of hanging several inches below it, so there's less leverage.
Totally awesome. I sanded it and painted it in hammer finish Rustoleum black and it looks good. I just got a Smittybilt Beaver step for attaching my gigantic 33,000 pound ARB snatch strap.

The wheel wells will be your biggest source of noise. The bed rug should be adequate for the floor, but if you want the bang for your buck I'd add something to the rear wheel wells.
It's 6'2" at the center of the fiberglass top. With the full width loft I built, there's enough room to lay on your side without touching the ceiling, but nowhere near enough to sit up. It's a bit of an gymnastics maneuver to climb in to bed, but I've been pretty inebriated and still been able...
