I'm enjoying mine - just turned over 29K miles on it. The only two things I don't like about it are the rotary knob for the gear shift and the tail gate (it's clonked me on the head a couple of times) both of which will be eliminated on the new Defender.
We were on the Tail of the Dragon on...
I think that is way too much weight that high - plus the house battery should be under the hood. The shock loads for a battery mounted that high would be magnified and batteries are heavy!
My local dealer started taking deposits a few months ago - two of the sales staff got in line ahead of me so I'm supposed to get #3 at Hennessey North Atlanta.
I expect that once the new Defender is officially introduced in the fall you will be able to order one the way you want it optioned for...
I think the electric supercharger will be on the Range Rover - from what I read about a year ago there will probably be three HP ratings on the six cylinder engines - probably corresponding to the three models (Range Rover, Discovery and Defender).
I was asking one of the corporate Land Rover...
I'm going on another 2500 mile round trip in my Discovery 5 sometime this month. Since the new Defender will replace this truck next year I certainly don't want anything much less comfortable and competent at this type of road trip than the Discovery. I do need the ability to tow a trailer and...
I'm somewhat interested but since I bought a Garmin Monterra a few weeks before Garmin decided to dump it I'm feeling a little snakebit by Garmin. I've owned a bunch of Garmin stuff and they don't seem to have any consideration for loyal customers.
I'll watch the reviews carefully before...

At one of our club meetings years ago .....
Our tradition is new guys that show up to the meetings stand up and tell the crowd what sort of Land Rover they own.
After three other new guys had stated they had some sort of Discovery the final one for the evening stood up and said:
"I have a REAL...

Dieselranger, that was my thought the first time I popped the hood on my diesel D5, look at all of the space in front of the engine. It was obviously designed to accommodate an inline six. Here in Georgia diesel is running about 10 cents a gallon less than premium fuel. I'm averaging over 400...
Since I currently own three diesels and one petrol Land Rovers I'm pretty familiar with the difference. After owning 19 Land Rovers over the last 47 years you might say that I have some knowledge of the brand. Even though the six cylinder Ingenium diesel has not been introduced yet, sources have...

This could be the last year to score a Jaguar with the carmaker's 3.0-liter supercharged V6. Autocar reports that Jaguar deep-sixed the the XE S and XF S in the UK due to poor...
All this whining about the new Defender...
Coil springs versus air bags - what's wrong with good old leaf springs, drum brakes and no synchros in first and second gears?
