Know of a reputable, great price point camera gear website?

B&H, KEH and Adorama are the primary sources for my camera addiction. I'm lusting after a Canon 1Dx to take advantage of the advancements in ISO levels, battery technology and focusing over my 1DsMKII - which is still a great camera. I've had some good luck with local craigslist but the main...

    Expo East...LR village

We had 63 last year so it would be nice to get at least 50 Rovers - I'm trying to encourage more Solaros members to participate this year.

Like A Moth To The Flame- My New LR3

Sorry to see you get rid of your LR3 and the Conqueror - it's a great truck. Airstreams are cool - did you get the 25 or 27 foot model? My sister had a 27 0r 28 foot Airstream - she says she wishes they'd had a 25 foot size since once you get over 25 feet they get a bit more hard to maneuver.

    Death Wobble in my Series

Press new bushings in the frame as well -to remove the old bushings I usually use a 1" hole saw coming in from each side to remove what's left of the rubber and carefully split the outer steel sleeve with a hacksaw then drive it out. Get a 12" length of 5/8 acme threaded rod and some acme nuts...

FS 1989 Eriba Puck travle triailer

I dropped the price to $7900 and included a 50mm trailer ball - I went ahead and ordered a new ball so the next owner wouldn't have to look for one. Camping season is starting - but that doesn't mean you have to sleep on the ground!

FS 1989 Eriba Puck travle triailer

Eriba Puck Price: $7900 I'm selling my 1989 Eriba Puck travel trailer since I also own a 1988 Eriba Triton and the wife doesn't really think we need two trailers. The Puck is a very late model (1989) and is the newest one I'm aware of in the country. I'm basically the second owner – it...

Range Rover classic to buy or not

The headlight switch from a mid-70's MGB is a direct replacement - it costs less than half of the comparable Range Rover switch and is very readily available.

Older tent has a coating that's peeling off

My old Eureka Timberline did the same thing - worse part about it was the smell. When the coating starts peeling off like that it will reek to high heaven. People walking by my campsite even remarked on it the one time I used it. It was even worse if you were inside it. Time for a new tent.

Lets See Your Fold Down Tables!

What's even funnier is that I used a monopod for the first trial on my table too - after accidentally kicking the monopod and dumping the contents of the table on the ground I came up with the suspension idea. Picture from 2011...

Lets See Your Fold Down Tables!

Thanks - a friend of mine gave me the idea of using the ladder - he used a vertical leg to support the table top but I had idea of using a cord to make it self supporting. There is a neat little ratcheting block that you can get at Home Depot that works real well to hold up the back end. It...
