i was looking at 99 pretty hard because of the locker and the gas milage seems to be a bit better then the 95 plus sohc seems to be a little easier to work. that being said i would look at them both and see what one has better maintenance and let that be the deciding factor.

I had to remove all the old sound deadner and I was told that putting dry ice on and hitting it with hammer works...it really does!

4 pounds of dry ice, a few wire brushes, some goof off, 3 layers of Al's HNR, 3 layers of Al's bed liner and a whole lot of my time and its done.

go with cooper discovery at3. i grew up in michigan and would totally run this tire with out a second thought. I had the cooper st tires when i lived there and they were cool but the at3 is much better tire in my eyes.

agreed walk away from this one it looks like it had a hard life. you can do better.

just ordered some al's her of amazon for half what it cost. just need to wire wheel the inside and do a lot of prep.

instead of wasting money on mods why not just get the one you have rebuilt? it will be much better and more dependable then a turbo charged tired engine.

consider shipping just the bases?

i ran red only in my land cruiser and it was awesome. i thought about flushing and running red but i just got a new radiator and that would have been the time to do it.

well I'm going for it. i removed all the sound deadener today using dry ice, a hammer, and flathead screwdriver only took about four hours.

my 5sp has 274,000 miles on the original transmission as far as i know, its still decent ...except in first, second, and third.
