I'm installing a metaltech conversion, and a dobinsons front and rear kit with 2" medium front springs, and 1.75" medium rears this weekend. I'll report back once we get it done and do some shakedowns.

I've got a 2008 LR3 and a 2004 GX470. Both are very comfortable, and I'd imagine either would be great for a bad back. They are as reliable as 10+ year old SUVs can and should be. That is to say, buy some wrenches... It ain't that bad, usually.

Update here: Finally found time to get these TR sliders off my garage floor and onto the truck. They are awesome, and heavy, and not something I'm looking forward to having to remove anytime soon.

Follow up here, bottle replacement went as planned. The bottom hose clamp is really difficult to deal with, so be prepared.
