I should be more specific, it looks like the tranny skid is very NARROW. Thickness of metal is not my concern, it just looks like it tapers a lot near the rear when it could span the whole width of the cross member.

Question on the transmission skid, I definitely want to do something to protect it, but it seems like the Skidrow plate is skinnier than it should/could be. Any insight?

That's pretty much as good as it gets in the T100 world, I looked for exactly that but was unable to find one so I got my Tundra instead. I do love the V8 sound though, so I'm coping with the disappointment.
