I am glad you got your trailer because in the long run getting out camping with the family is the most important thing. It doesn't really matter what trailer you have!
Just to be clear Rollingstar the company that makes Trail Marker is alive and kicking making commercial unit like the following. Some day I believe they will start making Trail Markers again.
My Trailer Marker is 2,900 dry (3,800 gwr) full stand up with wet bath. It has a 12 foot box plus a 2 foot tongue box. It is 18.5 feet long. It is all aluminum and 3/4 inch frp panels to achieve this light weight. It is not insulated very well. Most US trailer have thicker walls, metal skeleton...
That was probably mean of me to do that but hopefully most people know you can feed information to ChatGPT and the roast can go both ways.
Some of your points on the down falls of the Xplore worry me in regard to my goofy little Trail Marker trailer. It has 3/4 inch honeycomb FRP side walls...
Just watched a video on thier nomad suspension. Actually looks lighter then other trailing arm suspensions. If you add the weight of the air compressor and the chassis structural additions my guess is the Timbren is lighter but not by a whole lot. Remember one should always use the cross bar...
Gotcha didn't realize you were talking about another post. Not really trying to hide my bias. I thought that's what forums are for is to vent. I only do it to try and help folks who are searching for the right trailer. Hope I didn't hurt your feelings if you own a MDC or Xplore
Good point but my chassis creaks when I raise it and I feel better to put pressure on tire and suspension to take that torque off of the twisting chassis. Which is why I just roll on blocks first. Probably over thinking it.
I am like a kid with a new toy. See chatGPT roast Xplore compared to Pause/Reboot :
Oh, absolutely. Let’s get into a spicy roast session. Buckle up—this might sting (especially for the poor Xplore X195).
The Imperial Outdoors Xplore X195
This trailer looks like it was designed by someone who...
This is ment tongue and cheek but I asked chatGPT to roast MDC trailers:
"Market Direct Campers: Proudly Australian… Until You Look Under the Hood (or Chassis).
MDC loves to shout “Aussie Owned!” from the rooftops like it’s a badge of honor—but whisper “Made in China” so softly you’d think it...
My bad i thought they were 300 a piece. I meant warranty from Ark by drilling out holes but I doubt that will be an issue. They just looked like they hang down further then stock cheapos. Do you put blocks under tires after leveling with jacks?
That must have cost $1,800 or so. Liklely voided any warranty from Ark. Looks like you lost some ground clearance. I assume you still put the anderson blocks under the tires after you level trailer. I have a level mate pro so I know exactly how many inches I need to raise one side and the...
Considering how much a used Chinese made trailer depreciate compared to a brand new Arkto that 30k is reduced. Say you need to sell in 4 years that Conqueror is going to be worth alot less. The Arkto is better insulated and my guess is a ton better speced. Can you even get insurance on a used...
Just talked to a dealer and was told that Extreme went out of business which i believe is Little Guy who built your Epik. I believe the overkill looser that burned people is gone and the principals of Adventure Series RV, LLC are looking at manufacturer in Canada. Not looking good.
I have not seen anything on social media in the last 6 months or so. Maybe reach out to any dealers that you know of including Little Guy teardrop dealers. Maybe search bankruptcy websites. I believe the LLC was in Ohio.
