    LR3 Differential Bearing Part Numbers

Ya, this bearing dump is killing the business. We manufacture the gears & sleeves. I do not recommend not changing the gears, that metal is part bearing and part gear. It's best to do it all once properly. Give Josh at British 4x4 Outfitters a call to order your parts. We had kind of decided...

    LR3 Rear Diff Help

Thanks Justin/Lucky8 They do get moisture in them, but it is not from wading, so I think the warranty company kind of took advantage to you there. How would they know in the first place anyway, it is not like they work on them. I suspect the moisture issue, that some may dispute even exists is...

LR3/Discovery 3 off road traction control video

What did you try? Low Range, grass gravel snow or rock climb. The street tires are probably your biggest problem. I would be interested to see the difference with a set of Nitto Terra Grappler G2's. Then you can go slow, give the computer time to figure out what is going on, see what happens.

Confirmed the hitch fit to the LR4 and LR3 with TR bumpers. Also did a Kaymar, which required expanding the hole by about 1/4"

    Christmas wth the LR3 Again

In rust belt conditions, check the shifting fork on the transmission as well. This was an early issue with them. Might be worth a look at it. Shift Components; LR012704 - Lever WYH000040 - Nut - flanged...

It would be good to post a detailed followup to the problems. Timing chain issue is a new one I've not heard.

Bruce replied; I guess being referred to in that manner is a very positive comment; it kind of makes the effort worthwhile. Regarding the Faskit, the reality is I came to the conclusion that the stock LR air system is more reliable than I initially thought it would be. It really does not...

    Wiring

Cool web site pugslyyy This is a hotly debated topic I guess. I did it with both fuses, radio also comes that way. Installer preference will prevail. OALAEGOATAS http://www.arrl.org/forum/topics/view/115 Should I add a fuse on the negative lead from 9-120AH battery? Mobile radio installs -...

Performance from different CB antenna locations.

quite a bit difference center of the roof is best. I have one mounted both ways. Even if you get it up on the roof it will be better.

Short protection. 857d draws about 1/2 amp, a little more when actually receiving a transmitted signal. It is hardwired to 2nd battery circuit, but not right to the battery. If you have a radio with APRS, then you might want an auto-shutoff circuit, so when you turn off the truck, the power goes...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Thanks Ray... If you carefully look in the business end, you will see a stiff metal tab. That tab hooks on the notch on the cable connector, which is crimped on. Push the cable toward the plug, use a medium flat blade to lift the tab to release the connector, slide it back and out. If you have...

Where it has usefulness is if you have an air line blow out. You can pull the fuse, and manually air up. Bruce has a lot of information for the do it yourself type of folks. He outlines installing a switch, using a faskit and into great detail on schrader valves, etc...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Looking good Ray. FYI, the Anderson plugs are color coded to fit, so blue will normally only work with blue, red with red, and so on. It will be easy enough to change just the plug housing once you get stateside to meet your needs. Keep up the awesome work.

    LR3 Hitch Options?

That's the idea, it needs to work right, or it will end up working like the others for a lot less coin. It will probably happy like I did this project or or less from a discussion point of view.
