Got some polymat up to cover the insulation. Also started working on my electrical center under the cabinet bench deal. Waiting on some more connectors and the group 31 battery to finish.
I would assume so. If you’re gonna do that just run it through the sensor. If you look just inboard of the battery it’s a loop looking deal that the starting battery negative runs through.
It might be an extra 12” of wire.
I’m running 2 AWG and have a couple things already on my truck...
I concur that they’re nice compared to most other containers. The lids and latches leave a lot to be desired. But as far as a standardized, stackable solution they’re tough to beat.
I’m going through this same process. It’s my understanding that we have to run the negative through the current sensor (Hall effect sensor) that the starting battery negative runs through. Otherwise the alternator may not keep feeding power once the main starting battery is topped up.
My Plan...
We bought the stainless pot and pan cook set from Stanley and their percolator. Have a basic knife and cutting board set from GSI as well. All of my “kitchen” stuff fits tidily in a wolf pack.
It sounds like you really want a new to you truck. And the trucks listed are a bit more offroady leaning. Also more HD related.
I’d look at 2500s or 3500s that are a few yrs old. I loved my old ‘07 6.0 Chevy 2500.
Good call. I thought about doing that to mine. But the standard shell clamps seem to be holding fine. If you haven’t already, seal under the bed rail caps while you got it off. They’re notorious for leaking water and dust. On GMs anyway.
Have you tried getting some friends to help you slide it back in place? Can’t be that much heavier than my OVRLND. We installed it without jacks or forklift.
L track mounted on outside today. With this coronavirus stuff I’m gonna run out of projects really fast!
Length of each is 46”. Pushed them all the way forward so when stuff is mounted I can still latch the barn doors. Had to chop away a bit of my insulation. Glad it’s all just taped up and...
I just mounted up a pair of rigid flood pods that I had laying around. Granted the OVRLND is a different setup than FWC. Would have preferred to mount them on the back wall but didn’t have room between the awning and camper latches. They’ll put out tons of light for around camp, loading trailer...
23zero peregrine 180R installed! Definitely followed the rule of measure 900 times, drill once. Cut some 2” x 3/8” aluminum bar for spacers off the camper wall. Needed to bump it out a smidge to clear the camper clasps. It fits, but just barely! And no job is complete without a victory beer.
@WarrZone14 Im really struggling/procrastinating on that. I kinda want to do 1/8” birch ply (sealed with polyurethane) on the sides. I have L track waiting to get installed on the outsides on the camper. So I’ll use a combination of the l track hardware and rivnuts.
Also mounted up a propane bottle holder. Got it from fishfighter. Seems like they make stuff for grilling on boats and what not. Bungee is some material I had laying around. I’ll probably make something cleaner to keep the bottle tight.
Since I’m in a shelter in place county, on an alternate work schedule. Getting some projects done with all this extra time at home. Lagun table! Tabletop is 13”x18”.
