Seems like it might be pretty good the way it is?
I am afraid someone will put those big chrome upright exhausts on one. That is too redneck , even for me.
Sure, if you want to come down some weekend we could do it:bike_rider:. I bought a bearing style spindle from AtoZ Fabrication. A lot of people say these are not a good idea b/c they are not double shear so if they fail your tire/carrier falls off. My latch is so strong that I don't worry...
I'd try taking all the other bolts that hold the bracket and then tapping the bracket side to side behind the bolt. Sometimes that will break the grip.
I pulled the axles out of a perfect 91 waggy, white, with wood sides. The guy at the yard tipped it on it's side with the forks. Still makes me kind of sick. I wish I had bought the whole truck.
I've gotten a lot of mileage from that sticker! Most like it, some are highly offended:elkgrin:
The jeep was feeling neglected, so I bought it some new stuff.
These are from M.O.R.E.
These are from alloy, i think.
I got these under warrenty from Warn, I blew one out this spring.
I'll...
We use these to build stabiltiy chambers at work, then we set them to 40C/75%RH. We use a lot of silicon to seal them up tight. No sure how hard it would be to keep them watertight on a moving vehicle?
anti religion posts are stickly moderated here so tread lightly. Several jeep forums have already adopted the 11 commandment, 'thou shalt not run a D35'
I have got to agree with you, ihave seen many dana 35s abused and not broken. For 33 tires I wouldn't hesitate to run it open or locked
Thanks, I built a piece of 2" receiver stock into my tire carrier so I can plug in different accessories. The shovel carrier is just a piece of 2" box with a flat plate welded on . The plate has 2 quick fists that hold the shovel. I also made a cooler rack
When I posted about the lunch box locker, I kinda new the dana 35 would get lambasted. I have personnally run a dana 35 welded with 33" boggar tires and beat the snot out of it. I actually tried to break it one day b/c I had a new set off 44s waiting to go in but I broke the driveshaft...
YUKON DANA 35 SPARTAN LOCKER - 1.560 BORE
Dana 35 Spartan Locker 1.560
Spartan Locker for Dana 35 with 27 spline axles (1.560 Bore is for 94 and newer Dana 35's). The Spartan Locker by USA Standard Gear is a mechanical locker that replaces the spiders in a standard case. The Spartan...
If your tires are 32" or less, I would look at a lunch box locker. This locker type just replaces the spider gears and does not require the expensive/complicated gear set up. You can do it yourself for $250ish.
My buddy James convinced me I should make a side awning for the Alstro. Have any of you guys made an awning? I am most interested in how it attaches to the van. I have found awning track online, I think I want a track so that rain cannot blow between the roof and the awning. I am also...
